Our sales have increased on previous years so far - so imo the credit crunch exists about as much as friendly terrorists do.

Credit Crunch is 2 words stuck together by a tabloid.

Don't fool yourself into thinking we're not in economic recession though. If the government are considering quantitive easing things are in a dire state.

Jobs are down, people are spending less and even global banks are on their knees.

Ireland, only a matter of years ago, was absolutely flush with cash. Some of the houses being built were out of this world, the economy was seeing the biggest growth in the whole of Europe and now the place is in tatters. There's no jobs, no money and crime is rising.

Ever seen the episode of The Simpsons where the lottery jackpot is high because everyone heard it was high so by buying tickets they made the jackpot?

Same thing is happening here, people hear theres a credit crunch and as such are contributing to and creating the problem.

Same whenever theres a fuel crisis.

Of course we are in a recession. But people dont seem to understand rich people are still rich, and that not every firm will be doing badly.

So the saying credit crunch what credit crunch is as pointless as it is annoying.

I'm feeling it...

Before I left on my trip (pre credit crunch) - there were loads of jobs available for Graduate Software Developers. In London you could get 30-35k.

Now looking (planning for my return), there's hardly any jobs available (yet plenty of people wanting a job), and the salaries are more like 22-25k ...

Bad times, bad times indeed.

That's an economic occurance though it's not some random thing that's happening. I can't remember the exact name actually for it just now.

2009 has been hectic for me so far, no sign whatsoever of it slowing down. Not everyone is suffering, although the media would have you believe different. Sick of it on the news every day, papers, radio etc.

I've just whacked £50 of fuel in my Sierra, credit crunch, what credit crunch?

They have more edible pork than rangers have money to spend and they have more potatoes than rangers have chances to win a league in the next ten years.

Now stop spamming the thread junior.
