Bought the Corsa on Sunday 1/2/09

Will update with pics and spec later on,

Bought this 3 years ago,

Owned it for 3weeks then I was up in court for a previous driving offence which got me banned

3 weeks into ownership and it lay unused for 6months

Completely standard

Lasted 1 week, and I got a non resonated cat back s/s exhaust system

Seen in this pic

I then set about lowering the car as it sat far too high, (rear springs had been replaced with standard mk4 Astra ones, which are 20mm higher than standard gsi springs)

Oh and got my licence back

I then decided on a wheel change, I got these wheels cheap, and the reason I wanted to change is because the snowflakes were in poor condition and badly curbed from the previous owner

Then turbo 1 went,

I quickly sourced another standard turbo and set about getting it fitted (No pics as I did it myself, and I dont use my phone when Im filthy )

At the same time I fitted the turbo I fitted a baileys dv26d dump valve

I was quite happy with the car for all of 3 weeks and the turbo dropped the bearing more fecking work

Decided I didnt want a standard one this time so I sourced a Z20leh turbo unit

Also fitted this one myself, in -5 degrees, and pissing rain/snow

Vowed never to do it again till it's a garrett getting fitted

The I fitted some flat blade wipers off ebay £12.49 the pair, delivered, cant speak highly enough of them

And some h.i.d's

Also fitted some wide angle xzenon sidelights but no pics of them

I then did a small road trip to pich up an irmscher grill

I'd been looking for one local for a while but had no luck, got one 60 miles away so road tripped it on a saturday night to pick it up

At the point of taking these pics I decided I needed to bring the rear down more as it was too high compared to the front

So I got some springs off a mate, and fired them on, they had the desired effect but they had been cut and recoiled,

I sent the springs off to coilsprings and they made me some correct springs with the correct poundage rate

Fitted

I doubt I'll keep them on though, as I'm on the hunt for some corsa vxr 18's and it's too low for 18's

Plans for the future are to get this fitted

Along with one of these

And some of these

All the work has been done in the past 6months, apart from the exhaust, I'm crap at taking pics of anything, so this thread may be full of info, but no pics,

Comments welcome

Nice - can't help think the rear is a bit too low in the last few pics. Looks like you've got a few fat mates in the rear all the time

The height is going to have to be reviewed when I get the 18's so it wont be like that forever

I hate arch gap

Nuh, I dont like the wheels anymore

They're staying for the bad weather and they'll be changed in the summer for something better in 18" form

Which means I;ll be raising it a bit

They're custom springs,

They're not actually that bouncy, but they are very very hard

Ok got a black 1.6 R reg Corsa Sport,

Got it home on Sunday after not having time to pick it up for a couple of weeks

Its lovely

Silly 16" fox wheels with the wrong offset
Red anodised valve caps
No grill
E.c.u. and wiring loom on the back seat
Water pipes all cut off
Throttle cable missing
Rear lowered, Front 3foot high
Bonnet cable snapped
SAI plug snapped.....etc etc

Some pics of her in all her glory..

Plates are funked, got some new ones with it,...

Change it for a magnex oval I have in my garage

Couldn't be bothered to work on it on Sunday, as I had to go shopping or I'd have a really pissed off girlfriend

Onto Monday, got a throttle cable hooked up, and started on the wiring, got the ECU in place and fed the wiring into the engine bay

Built up some spare koni struts I had for the front, with some apex 40mm springs

So today I got back into it, and hooked up all the wiring (Noticed the SAI plug is broken )

Car is now running., albeit not very well, but I knew this anyway, It coughs and splutters and cuts out

Now I have 3 ideas,

It's not long ago had a new service
EGR valve
IAC valve
timing belt kit

SO 1st thing si to check the timing

2nd I'll check the cats not blocked as it's struggling to idle,

And on recommendation from Tom Simes I'll check the CTS

So hopefully by saturday it will be running ok,

I have other wheels for it, Astra cdx 6spkes painted black.

I'll add more when I do more...

Mine used to cough, sputter and then cut out because of the EGR valve being blocked or faulty.

Brand new egr valve on it.

Got a cts to try and it worked

Fruitbooter, bought it as my gf's saxo is rotten, and I've always missed having a corsa in my life

When it came up at £40 I couldn't say no, although it was a jigsaw puzzle to get back together
