Just won my project mini off the bay

The basic plan is convert to a mini roadster, hopefully I wont lose my balls and change the plan to just restore. The challenge is to do everything and I mean EVERYTHING myself (Did I mention im banned from grinders and welders? ) Currently has no engine or gearbox, not sure what way im going to go there. Lots of thinking to do.

Anyway the victim(should collect in the next week or so).....................

I predict Blood, tears and pouting.

He clearly thinks he is the BOSS.

Will no doubt be something silly, tempted just to do a subtle 1380 or something but someone will lead me astray. No honda or vaux tho, want it to be different.

Bulkhead makes me think it's had a turbo luump at one point, or was going to, like my old one?

Do this to it - http://www.slowcarclub.com/santapod-07/cool-mini.jpg

and go for a 16v BMW K1100 headed 1380 using some bits from here - http://www.specialist-components.co.uk/cnb/shop/sconline?op=catalogue-products-null&prodCategoryID=36&title=Twin+Cam+Conversion

Everything there makes for a bit winner of a car.

Don't make a roadster, that implies that you want a roof, a mini and a fabric roof looks like a pram. No roof is the way forward.
