I didn't think they were particularly quick in comparison to my 1400, as for the other parameters; I haven't got a scooby..

My misses has a 1.4 16v with Zetec engine, and it goes really well. Handles well for a 'Ghia' model too.
So I imagine the Zetec S is a fantastic little car. Not lightning fast, but certainly quick enough.
Make sure you get an absolute mint one with full service history etc because they're prone to burning oil and not letting you know about it till it's too late. Apparently the later 51-reg cars had a revised engine or something, so that'd be the one to get.

All the Zetec engines are prone to burning all then.

great little cars with brilliant ford handling would rather have a fiesta zs than a corsa b 1.6 sport but that's personal opinion.
mate has a red one running 175bhp which is awesome to say the least

My mom used to have one, absolutly loved it, but we had to sell it as only a 3 door, annoyed my mom to get me and my sis in the back, and my nan, complained about how stiff the suspension was, makes me happy though. As it means she doesn't go in my car that often. But yeah, can't think of anything wrong with them, if I could afford to have one, I prbs would buy one.

The fact they've held the value better than a 1.6 Corsa Sport tells you quite a lot tbh.

I agree as I owned a 1.6 sport then had a Zetec S... Handling was 1000% better on the Ford though.

His car must be fucked then as I can guarantee yours would not destroy a Zetec S in good nick.

I think they are more than that. I am speaking from experience of having both cars for well over a year.
