Mine used less petrol on my 80+ mile a day trip than my 1.6

Only thing is, it's more tempting to keep the right foot planted though.

As long as you look after them they are fine to live with, i used mine as an everyday car and had no problems at all.

Mine is my only car at the moment. So using it for commuting and working. Uses a couple of tanks a week.

Brilliant for nipping through the traffic jams, getting to the front of queues at lights. I find it doesn't break often when it's used every day

Gregg says his XE is more economical on the motorway than his 1.4 SRi used to be thanks to the 6th gear and sitting at lower revs.

Well i've got a 20SEH on R1 carbs and if im nice to it...it uses the same amount of fuel as my old x14xe did. I've been majorly impressed tbh!

Of course...if i decide to push it...then it does tend to take gulps!

He has an F28?

Mine was great fun when it was running right. Used it everyday. Never broke, gave it stick but not all the time. Fast cars aswell, was pretty decent on petrol too. It did brake in the end resulting in a new engine. I guess if you look after it, it wont be any trouble.

I am pretty sure he does.

Either way, it uses less fuel on the motorway due to sitting at lower revs. According to him anyway. I'll text him

I done about 20k with a redtop in. Get a decent engine and you shouldn't have a problem.

Best car i've ever had for Power mixed with decent MPG

Only had a few PAS problems, and mine got used a hell of a lot. used less petrol than my 1.6 and was a hell of a lot more fun

And Gregg's has an F16 still i believe, unless he has changed it recently.

Still has them

Mine works perfectly everyday, take it to uni and work every week and also just around luton/dunstable. Love it! Can dawdle around at almost no revs and its fine, open it up a little and a massive appears!

Plus, I once got 42MPG from a full tank. Fact
