right i have a corsa gsi that im building for the track but still want it to be road legal.
havn't decided what engine choice im going to go with yet, was going to keep with the x16xe but i thought i would have to spend silly money to make quick,
im an apprentice tech for peugeot so havn't got much money to play with but trying my best.
had the car for a while now so havnt really got pics of what it was like when i got it ect.
so here goes....
brought it with some cheapo coilovers on it witch i will be changing in the near future but will do for now.
got hold of some 15'' white compo mo's for 250 quid with good tyres.
new what i wanted the car for so i started about stripping it down, removing rear seats ect. got some carbon rear panels from doldy off here ( very nice chap) done me them for a good price.
rear strut brace fitted.

then had a problem started coughing ans splutering, whipped the plugs out found nothing left of sprak plug in cylinder one, had burnt out! had some crap iriddium plugs in it with toyota written on them.
anyways i was down on compression on cylinder one so i was guessing the bit of the plug had bent a valve,
i used a tool someone made up in work to check for bent valves, was just an airline attahcment one end of a bit of copper tube and the other end with a thread that screws into the plug hole,
so i attched the airline and listerned for air leaks as i turned over the engine,
when the exhaust valve should ov been closed on cylinder one there was air hissing out of the inlet and the back box so i new the exhaust valve was bent,
anyway was a simple job so whipped off the head.
didnt get any pics of the head as i took it to work to do it.
was suprised that i couldnt see anything wrong with any of the valves. so i closed each valve and poured water into the ports.
cylinder one exhaust valve didnt hold the water and just poured out so that valve was well fooked,
got a spare valve for it that i cleaned up and lapped in gave it a nice clean and reffited to the block

Fitted a powerbox inlet gave some good gains. kept up with friends redtop.
(this is what put me off the redtop option)
got some paint mixed up to spray my wheels with.
bmw black with a small amount of blue pearlecent. looks nice
sanding the wheels down i took about 2 hours per wheel prepping them one wheel was powdercoated very poorly the others where just rattle canned white.
so took me some time to get them sanded down by hand.
the some filler primer
didnt come out to bad considering they were sprayed with an air gun by an amature in my cold garage.

yeh ill get a pic of them for ya mate, basically i just cut of some sheet aluminium rectangles about 3 and hald inches across by about 1 n half inches wide marked out the holes for the bonnet. drill the holes and just drilled two more holes below them ones.
bolted them up. i only done them for a mock up in my lunch took about 30 mins to make. but looked ok so i kept them.
