Before anyone with no knowledge aside from the primary school view of "Just say no" comments on this thread, I highly suggest that you watch these two documentaries.
Peter Jennings, ecstacy rising

and
Is alcohol worse than ecstacy?

PS - I vote an enthuiastic yes. I gave up all drugs in Jan 2006 and have no interest in taking any again if im honest, but I know that I will never rule out th efact tht I may do ecstacy again one day in my life if the perfect situation were to come about.

What is that opinion based on, though? Like I said, i went through the whole drug thing years ago and now dont touch a thing, in fact I have quite a negative view of certain drugs (especially cannabis) after my experience iwth them, but surely the fact that I still hold ecstacy in a much higer regard, even though I dont take it any more anyway, must say something?

From experience of it I would say no to having it re-classified. It doesn't make a blind bit of difference to anyone if its class A or B. It will still be readily available and you will still suffer from taking it

No drugs are actively good for you, granted, but neither is alcohol which is a drug just like all the others and is much more dangerous. Why is it ok for someone to go to a pub and get absolutely smashed on alcohol, yet you could technically go to prison for taking an ecstacy tablet? It got made illegal in the first place cos the government was worried that it was competition to their highly lucritive alcohol and the taxes that go along with it, when so many people were taking it without any problems at all.

No it was never legal in the first place - ecstacy is illegal in all UN countries - and even in some non UN countries like Switzerland. Nothing to do with the government making money on it.

Of course it was legal in the firstplace! You think that someone synthesised the chemical and that there was already a law passed making it illegal before it even came into existance?! Idiot Just watch the documentaires i posted before making any more silly comments

Only thing I didn't like was the way they make you look when you're on them really. Used to chew my face off sometimes.

I dont understand this classification shite, why isnt it just LEGAL or ILLEGAL?
If its legal, tax the fuck out of it and dont treat the retards that get hurt by using it.
If its illegal, confiscate, destroy it, prison up the people distributing it, destroy them I dunno something of that nature

If you prosecuted everyone that ever did any form of drugs and put them in prison there would probably be more people in prison than on the outside!

Tbh ecstacy is the only drug i would do, probaly one of the safest.
The only reason people die from e's are if they drink to much water or not enough, if people where educated how to take them safely, there wouldnt be any death's at all.
Still amazes me that alchohol and smoking are the biggest killers yet there both legal?
Kinda proves against theyre argument drugs are illegal because they kill, its more like theyre to trying to control us.

The whole classification system needs revamped; coke and ecstacy are on a different plain from heroin altogether.

And that metalic taste and twitchy head movements the day after I haven't touched ecstasy for a long while and I don't miss it in the slightest, it was good when I was young and clubbing and it did something to me, the fact everyone stopped taking pills and started taking coke meant getting good pills was more difficult, regardless I wouldn't be doing them anymore anyway.

Personally, never tried them and never really interested me, but one of my mates did alot of stuff (from what i remember weed, ecstasy, coke, LSD, mushrooms and heroin whilst at uni) but tbh they way he looked and acted all the time was awful compared to what he used to be like. He was always off his head no matter what time of the day, no matter where he was. Im not saying everyone is like that btw!
Myself and all his mates tried to get him off it (as it was ruining him and his family) and he did about 1 year later, but now is a completely different person to what he was. Hardly anyone sees or hears of him now, and never answers the door if you go round to see him. He was the only one in the group of mates that did it, but we all tried our best to be there for him etc and not judge him for what he did.
But tbh, never tried it, never wanted to, never interested me whatsoever and maybe it should just stay where it is
