My Old Corsa Turbo was a decent drive with PAS, but just wondered has anyone actually driven a LET Corsa without PAS?
I know some people say they prefer a car without PAS and you get a better feel of the road or something along those lines.
But just wondered if it would be easier to drive or not without PAS considering torque steer etc

Well I decided Im going to start getting the engine out sooner than expected, and whilst its out I might as well decide if I want PAS fitted or not, and its easier to do with the engine out so Ive heard.
Ive got a donor car which is a 1.6 sport sitting in my mates garage which hes having the engine out of and ive been offered any thing thats left over, so just need to see if its worth doing and what the drive is like on a Corsa Turbo without PAS

When i had P.A.S it would torque steer abit more. I've got use to driving with out P.A.S now & i prefer it like that. But my P.A.S will be sorted because trying to park with out it can be a nightmare.

Mine hasn't got PAS belt on atm. Hard to drive as the front is very heavy with the F28 too. You get used to it though.

Prefered my xe without PAS, was more responsive and gave a better feel. But with a LET i'd probably want PAS as there is more weight up front.

Why not have the best of both worlds.. Use an EPAS column and a 2.5 rack with an aftermarket assistance controller

Having no power steering is not the answer to stopping torque steer.... its not even that bad in a LET just dont plant it in 1st and 2nd.
Id rather have PAS tbh just more comfortable and easier to drive.

i had Pas in my silver one, dont understand why anyone wouldnt want it tbh.
I had large wheels so my steering wasnt stupidly light or anything felt just right

ive got no pas on my let, its fooking heavy and my arms ache every time i get out of it! he said he removed the pas to reduce the torque steer which he said it did. i am considering having it put back on though.
but she is on 40profile tyres which will make it heavier i think?

when you go from an 8yr old clio though with pas to a corsa with no pas its a biiig difference! it takes all my strength to move it when parking or trying to turn slowly!
