i had a go on my mates 800's in a bar up town back in august and liked it so thought id get some quick, before pioneer put the price up to £899 per deck! so got them at the old price, with the mixer i got a really good deal i think
just gonna practice + enjoy really, see where it takes me! hopefully if i progress i may get a slot on kratyradio.com once a week or something and go from there..

that mixer looks the dogs bollocks mate. i'm not a big fan of CDJ's but i suppose they are the way forward. i don't have decks myself but i use my mates most weekends.

cheers man, was unsure what to go for 2ch/4ch wise but then decided 2ch made sense and the djm is built like a brick, effects, in-loop sampler + fader starts coz its all pioneer kit

Looks like a nice setup mate. I've just dusted down the old Hip Hop Vinyl and fancy myself some nice new SL 1210's or a set of Vestax PDX3000's

£72 all in was the cheapest i found them on ebay mate, everywhere else is £90+ they came in a day aswell

vinyl - id just end up wrecking
cd - is mp3 on cd and i do buy all my unmixed tracks, make as many copies as i like if i wreck them
mp3 on a laptop? not really djing is it not in my opinion anyway

no, you use decks still, just a hard drive to mass store tracks

Like the ipod mixing thingy.
Would prefer mp3s on CD though, so i think he's made the right choice.
More flexibility and you can fit 200 mp3s on a disc at decent quality still

I know a lad who has the same ones. I remeber having a bash on them at bank holiday in august about 7 in the morin blind drunk! Quiet hard to keep the tunes flowing IIRC

I did a college course and learned from a guy who did hip hop. Was quite fun learning how to scratch and put that into dance music!
I sold my record decks a few summers ago, I'd quite like to get back into it!
