DSG gearbox.

I think the Edition 30 has basically the same engine as the Audi S3 but on a different map. So a remap sees some big gains

DSG is very cool imo. But can be a pain when on the RR i think.

Matt - Pretty sure you're right about the engine, i've heard very much the same.

Awesome cars, I'd love one as my next.

What colour was it Iain? I love the grey

Is the brightest red you could imagine. with the grey bbs wheels, is completely standard exterior wise looks imense. Sounds Think he said it canges gear in 0.2 of a second. Is that right??

When he does change gear the no sort of movement in the car if you get what i mean. sort of no backwards forwards movement.

yeah DSG is dual clutch

As your in one gear the second clutch has the next gear ready for you

Simple map see's 305 BHP as its the same engine as the S3

Its a very short amount of time indeed, if you go to one the ECU is expecting

Lots of info on DSG here, pros and cons are towards the bottom

The noise of it on boost is just crazy. They don't hang around either i think they look better than the r32 imo.

It wouldn't be a problem cos the gearbox would change down for you as you slowed down. Or you just use the paddles behind the wheel to change down, hardly involves much effort clicking a paddle.

Can you get the Edition 30 with the full leather interior or are you stuck with the tartan centres?

both, but if its in auto mode it will kick down for you, if not it only takes 2 or 3 flicks down.

I think they only came in the half leather but don't quote me on that.

there was also a lot of uproar from owners about VW not actually limiting production of them. Which resulted in the Mk5 pirelli edition.

Body kit is the same, but other things like the wheels are different.
