Severly lacking in th last few years?

"Back in our day" when I was a lad Loads of us had resprays. Be it the original colour or aftermarket colours. It made the cars...

Is it me, or is it something that seems not to happen very much these days on modified car?

Also the amount of "show cars" or all out monsters is lacking recently?

Are times changing for modified cars?

i think the main cause is resprays cost so much and people simply cant afford them,

its because most people who start making show cars now use lexus lights and then post pics on here, get shot down for having a car that doesnt have gsi kit/speedlines and then never comes back on . so we dont hear about them

the above isnt really a serious reply

but theres a few people on here that have had resprays recenetly just not really posted about them.

Personally the cost stops me. I'd love a respray, just can't afford/justify one.

I'd say more people are buying newer cars and modifying them rather than older stuff that needs a bit of restoring aswell as modding. So they dont really need respraying

People saying about new cars needing resprays. But tbh, when say Andy and I were tinkering with Corsas, corsa B's were still "fairly" new (3-4 years old) and didn't really need them, but we done them anyway

I know theres a few, just not seeing many about these days as everyone does the same as everyone else. (i.e GSi and smooth).

Smooth is good, but too much of one thing makes it bad... And EVERYONE is doing smooth these days?

Someone go mental again please

Mine just about had two!

Colour change was about best thing I ever done! Would do it again if I modify a car to that extent again!

GF's bro had his Polo done just before Christmas! Lots being done just not in the corsa world any more!

a good re-spray is about 3 grand if you want a proper job, its a lot of money to spend on a car that probably worth 3 grand anyway!

I do miss seeing bright colours and mad kits of the 90's really did love that skeete R5 in lime green. Things just cost too much nowerdays, and its hard to be original as everything has been done already!
