How did you find the change? Have you ever looked back and wished you didn't go or are you just glad you've had the experience of living in another country?

I'm extrememly tempted in moving to spain just for a few years for the experience, been offered bar work already (shit cash but enough to live on and will obviously have cash saved up from working here). Just seems like England is fucking awful and has piss all to offer me. Thinking I need time away to enjoy myself, have a good experience and see if I come back a different person.

Wouldn't be a permanent move, just 2-3 years.

Have you ever looked back and wished you didn't go Mostly no. The things I miss about being here can be counted on the fingers of one hand

or are you just glad you've had the experience of living in another country? International experience always looks good on a CV, and I've worked for a company that I wouldn't have had the chance to anywhere else. If I'd stayed in England I may have had the feeling I hadn't achieved much, whereas now I feel I've got a lot done before turning 25

My advice would be go for it, but plan ahead and make sure of what you're getting yourself into. You'll need a couple of grand to set yourself up somewhere properly IMO, unless you want to be slumming it for a couple of weeks. Don't forget that you will also need to get to know local employment and tax laws, set up bank accounts and register yourself with the local councils.

How did you find the change? I very first moved out of my home country at a very young age and can't remember much of it, however I've lived in 5 different countries so far and enjoyed most of them. The change itself was weird at first everytime but once I found my feet I was fine.

Have you ever looked back and wished you didn't go?Never really regretted anything about each move, although things that changed with the country after was a bummer.

or are you just glad you've had the experience of living in another country?Yes.

Go for it, it it's rubbish go back home.

Excellent replies, thank you very much .

And yeah Ash, I understand it isn't as easy as just going over there, will have some good cash behind me for sure.

I just feel it's got to the stage where I NEED to get away from this place..

At the end of the day, like I say to every single person who is thinking about moving abroad - try it, and if you don't like it you go to the nearest airport and fly home. It is really as simple as that.

I came back to England to finish my final year at Uni and at the time was ready to come back. I'd had enough of Abu Dhabi and wanted to come back to England. That lasted for a whole 2 weeks and I endured another 10 months and moved straight back here afterwards.

I'd agree with you, and say that in my opinion as well, England is fucking awful and has piss all to offer. There are plenty of good things about England, but in my humblest, the cons outweigh the pros.

Give it a go.

Not abroad, but I moved to Scotland nearly 4 years ago now. It's the best thing I ever did.

It's true, I live in a small country village surrounded by mountains, water and fields. Nearest city is 30 miles away, so quiet here compared to the place I came from.

One of my mates was fed up of working 9-5 here and one day just said fcuk it and flew out to Fuerventura.

He's been out there a year just doing bar work, but hasn't looked back!

I'd do it in a heartbeat even for just a few months if i didnt have mortgage and shit here

I lived in a shitty place in England so moving here was a vast change, 0% crime rate in the village I'm in, does wonders for the insurance
