Split screen FTW. In car, lap times, external shot, and another in car all at the same time?

More coverage than ITV, but still got that chump Blundell

MotoGP info...

I'm glad they are using that theme tune! And I like Martin Brundle.

The red button features sound cool!

F1 is much more than just the cars going round the track...would be more interesting if they had more access to technical stuff, radio transmissions and data to see whats really going on!

Finally a tv company is getting their ass in to gear and showing in car coverage. All I want to do in a gp is be in car with the driver who is pushing hardest at that moment.

It is going to be so cool if you can for example go in car with Hamilton on his last lap before a pit stop to see just how hard he is pushing with a light car.

In car FTW im.

i like to know sector times, fastest laps etc too.

You can read a lot from a few numbers, something that commentators miss out until they visually see it on screen.

WSB Starts this weekend too Im so pleased the motorsport year is starting again I dont really watch anything else on tv, so when the things i do watch come on after a long break, i get excited

See you say that, but last year it wasn't like that.

Mid-field pack was probably the closest F1 racing i've seen in years, since the day of Full slicks and no driver gubbins. Mid pack had some really good racing.

This year it will all VASTLY change. the most overtaking in an F1 season for a decade???

Good chance of it.

If anything, the mid pack F1 was more exciting than the front end of MotoGP last year, what with Rossi simply walking away with it.

Rossi = Gonna have to work hard for it this year.....

FYI - WSB starts this weekend too dude. Cannnnieee foooking wait I will there, glued to my TV, watching 7 manufactures pile into the first bend.

See how much Ducati's extra 100cc gives them down the straights.

See how that stunning sounding V4 Aprillia goes (they will be off the pace a bit imo).

See if BMW's can miss flying birds at 230kmh (Troy Corsa, check WSB page )

Has a WSB ever been put against an F1 car out of curiousity? I'm guessing the F1 car would lap quicker cos of its cornering capabilities

I kinda lost interest in last years WSB racing. Bayliss was always going to take it after Haga had a bad start to the year.

I'd really like to see Haga take the title this year, and on a Ducati as well, i think he's the man to beat this year. BMW and Aprillia will be playing catchup. He's so front heavy in the way he rides, should actually suit the Duc really well. We'll see.

BMW looks hot, but that aprillia sounds SOOOO good.

With a few Brits in the field this year too (none will be title contenders in 09), we've got reason to cheer again too.

Matty - Nope. tbh the F1 would have the bike on the more downforce orientated tracks (i.e long fast corners). But those tracks with lots of straights, would be closer now F1 use 2.4 engines. They only really get up to about 190-195, and need the Super Straights at the long circuits to get there.

MotoGP boys are doing about 200+ (even after downgrading from 990 to 800cc) within a shorter distance, but the car will kill it on the bends.

I find it ironic how lots of circuit records broke last year, using 190cc less sized engines. Its like taking the V8 engines and killing the old V10 engines lap records.... Madness.

yes, im muchos excited. Although F1 is starting late this year. Last year is was March 3rd, this year we start in april. MotoGP is end of march.

Even down the straight the F1 would eat a WSB.

You 100% sure on that?
If your taking the F1 Vs Boat Vs BSB bike by 5th gear, off the line is much harder.

210bhp odd and 160kg, vs 700bhp and 600kg.....

MotoGP bikes and WSB have a higher top speed than the F1's as well.

Mid range (say 30-100) though I think the F1 would have it. 150+ and the bikes i think
