dont buy a show cage
if you want a cage get a proper one
show cages crumple under impact so ive heard and cause more damage
could be wrong though

Shitty Dimma ones that bolt to the seat belt mounts are shit.
The one I had was good, made by Fusion Fabrications in York.
Obviously they aren't as good as OMP ones but they won't just "crumple"

i think people miss the point they are called "show" cages for a reason. so crumpling etc is not really involved in this.

you cant see where the front of the cage is located exactly
but it looks like they attach to the front seat belts

Oh sorry mate
x
No, it's not bolted to the seat belt. The Dimma ones used to bolt up where the front drivers & passenger seat belt is on the B-pillar.
EDIT, that one in the Col's car is made by Fusion who done mine as well, it will be bolted through the floor and to the rear seat mounting point.

What about the old plastic waste pipe and silver paint? I saw many fiestas and corsas with those in my cruising days! you can get all the bits from B&Q and get push fit bends and it will be safer than those steel ones which will probably puncture your chest in a crash!
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

if your in a crash thats serious enough to bugar your show cage then chances are you are pretty much fooked anyways.
yes proper cages are the way forward but some people just like cruising and like to have something there to be seen.
so yes show cages are cool and will get respect down at the local meet but if you plan on pushing the limits at a track day then get a proper weld in jobby

What meets will show cages get respect?
Are people not more into the whole performance scene these days?
