I bring Sad news :'(
After a long few wintery months and my heart changing focus in what I want from life, I am taking the corsa off the road.

Its come to a point where It needs an MOT and TAX as well as a few niggles as with All XE's and I want a more easy car to live with day-to-day.

So As of 50pm today I will be moving on to a 1.1 Feista Azura - M reg, 5 Door in blue
Please do not try to race me in this monster, It has about 3 shetlend ponies under the bonnet and I am not afriad to use its bumpers if required

The XE'd Corsa will be split for parts and sold accordingly - Watch this space for a "Parts thread"

Although this is a light-hearted thread etc, It's been quite hard to write because I have only ever have Vauxhall Corsa's and they suited my needs down the the ground. It's been a great adventure and has opened my eyes up to endless possibilitys and therefore I think In the future when I'm more Finacial stable and got a few big events over with in my life, I may return to the little pocket rockets for a weekend Slag car

R.I.P my beloved little corsa :'(

Thats a shame man, I think you'll miss it within the week & change your mind - get it back roadworthy.

Would it need much to pass the MOT? how much would you sell it for as it is?

The car is spot on, just running a little tatty as such, My heart fell out of it over winter and Just has not come back.

It would need a CAT, and a good service to pass MOT, plus a seatbelt "Plastic casing" that fits securly (basically it works ok but its snapped a pin so sometimes falls off)
Apart from that it should be ok

You know what, I completely agree with you but my plan is to Sell/strip this for cash, Run the Fez for a year whilst saving up for a wedding and another car, then buying a nice simple Derv. Once thats bedded in and I've paid of the rest of debts I owe (to family for house) then I will probally pick another Corsa up.

I dont want to leave this sitting for 2 years though and rot away in a garage.

Well I didnt look at a full car price to be honest.
Erm I dunno, I hate stating prices as I feel like a mug:
I'd love £1500 for it

I really CBA, It has the standard XE issues where it doesn't always idle right etc...

Infact scrap my earlier post... When I explain the teething issues the car has it just looses value stright away - Which Is not what I want.
The best thing for this car would be a rebuild to make it 100% perfect but I dont have the money for it.
Its a sweet engine (its was Adam-B's) but as the XE's get tired, sometimes continually fixing issues just prolongs the agony, A rebuild would be ace.

I suppose thats the sensible thing to do then mate.

The dervs a good shout also depending on how many miles your doing, if your not doing high miles then id recommend getting the petrol equivalent model.
