IE my car has FINALLY been picked up

There were a few complications on picking it up but now it's finally making it's way to mountain ash then finally Aberdare where it shall under go the elusive 1.8 conversion

I shall, i can't wait for it! Already got a lightened flywheel ordered from WarrenG so together with an uprated clutch and throttlebodies should be ok! But they won't be done in a while though lol

Aye they are in fairness, i first saw DaveyLC in Nov on another site and i've been hooked on the idea ever since!

And it's only got 51000 on clock too the engine so ideal

Just a wee update for you all.

The work is 3 hours from completion!!!!

But the bar-stewards who sold me the engine sold me a complete engine so it didn't come with inlet manifold, ECU or loom ??

So trading standards as i've been mis-sold an item.

But wondering how much it be to get an inlet and ECU with loom and just GET IT DONE!!!!

Right i've got hold of a new coil system and getting a price for 2nd hand ecu, loom and full inlet tomoz.

And about the above problem it was my fault entirely just wish i weren't so....... "Special"

I think Gez is having someone port and polish his C16XE head for him (i think)

Nah still not back yet, getting manic depression now
But should be this week now so fingers crossed.

It's a friend doing it it is and she wouldn't have the facilities to do that im afraid.

Waiting on the insterior vectra loom (ECU>ECM) prob be tomoz as bank holiday then SHOULD be done then so maybe this week? (But don't like lying so im not counting on it)

It's over due now in fairness.

If i was more on the ball i'd have either bought a vectra and literally swapped everything or got WarrenG/DaveyLC to do it!
