How do you know?

Just vbecause the cars not looked after?

Pretty brash statement to make.

end of the day, you might not like it, or agree, but if he acted like you, or everyone else, there would be much variation in life, and the manufactures wouldn't build all the cars as no-one would buy them.

Your right, its lame to live beyond your means, but unless you know their finances, you can't say a thing as you've not got a clue

So you know his finances........

Im always moaning about having no money from my monthly wage as I have a house....

Doesn't mean to say i've got a nice pot of savings to buy something nice. When I buy my new toy, i'll still have no money every month...

As said, Jealousy is a terrible thing.

Those 10 of the 30 or so cars in the carpark are filthly.

I have a 57 plate 307 which is doing 30k a year. I don't see the point in getting car park dints and stone chips removed as they will just appear again. The car was sitting in local car parks day after day so what is the point in spending time getting dints removed?

Yeah i could just run a shitter but i have the money to spend on a decent car. The interior is sound and it's mechanically perfect which is all i see/use.

All of Dad's sales guys have just had 09 plate Mondeo estates.

One guy got a written warning/disciplinary after 2 weeks for the state of the car - he used it like it was an old van; had been gardening and just chucked the shit in the boot, no bags/cover just straight on the boot floor. The car was scratched and in a mess and looked like shit heap within days.

He's not living beyond his means - just obviously has the its not mine so fuck it attitude!

I had a new car at 19, it was a state the month after.

Reason being I didn't buy it to lord about in my new car, I bought it to drive me from A to B as that's what a car is for.

Most of my mates cant be arsed to wash/look after there car, just swap them every couple of years for the newer model. Theres nothing wrong with having a car on finance either, its not living above your means imo, I had a car on finance but I've paid it off now, so how is that living beyond my means? Some people just see a car as an A-B and not cherish them like others do.

It doesn't mean the car is not looked after/loved. People just have lives that don't revolve around a car.

did anyone read my post? i said they cannot afford the finance, and unless i am mistaken that means they are living beyond what they can afford? i didnt say anything about not wanting to fix it, i said they cannot afford to fix it. i didnt mention anything about company cars whatsoever, nor did i mention anything about cleaning cars? didnt say getting a car on finance was a bad thing, i said getting a car on finance that you cannot afford is a bad thing.

It's them who will charged extra interest on their payments flaws, and it's them that might have the car taken away, so why does it bother you so much?
