I thought the same about Ronaldo.
To be fair, Giggs hasn't been amazing, but when called upon he has put in some decent displays. Not sure that worthy of his inclusion here though! Rooney has been on form for a while now and hes not even in the running.

What a joke
Where's Alonso? And if Ronaldo is there then surely Torres deserves to be in there?
I would of said Vidic, but I think recent weeks will count against him as will stay in peoples memories. Plus hasnt Gerrard won something like 3 or 4 POTM awards this season?

Suppose Torres should be in there if Ronaldo is yes.
Vidic has looked very good. He looked really good at the weekend in the box.

Is between Vidic and Gerrard and down to recent form think it'll be Gerrard.
Who comes up with these lists though? Why only 1 player not from United - its not like you've been this amazing team all season.

Ryan giggs is mentioned as he's getting on and he put in one or two good displays out of position earlier this season imo, not deserving of PFA player of the year
Gerrard has been immense, as has alonso. If it's anyone else it should be vidic. Ronaldo has had a good season but not by the standards he set himself last season.

I know, I just think Giggs will get it on the basis of the milestones he's reached at United. Couple of match winning performances as well.

I would go for Giggs, model pro imo and is still awesome! Would have to go for Ireland for young player, he has improved greatly this season and has been scoring goals from midfield. Shame he plays for Man City

If Giggs gets it then will just prove what a joke this is.
It HAS to be between Vidic and Gerrard, both have been consistent for more or less the whole season, not just for the odd 20mins of the odd game.

VDS and Ireland for me.
Don't the votes get cast in February for this? Right about when VDS was bang on form.

Not sure tbh. I thought votes were cast, then the 6 names they produce for the shortlist were the top 6 that were voted for. Then they build the suspense til a fancy ceremony, when they announce the winner.
