Well woke up to this morning to the sound of smashing glass, looked out the window only to find that our garage was on fire, ran out to try and save my g/fs mini and her brothers r1.

the culprit to the damage was a cloths dryer

everything can be replaced thank god its just a pisstake really lost all my tools, car cleaning stuff, couple of headunits, amp speakers

onwards and upwards

Really bad luck mate. Bet you were gutted

A friend of mine has just had his R33 GT-R skyline and R1 bike wiped out by a fire in his garage. As it's a rented garage they weren't insured.

Look on the brightside, at least you have insurance

Just as well you caught it in time, did you take a hose to the fire yourself?

Yup, apparently it's the 'oose' (fluffy stuff that gets caught by the filter) that causes them to heat up. And that stuff's like tinder for catching fire.

Only reason I know that is because there was a special on the 1 show about this exact thing last week

If there was ever a good way to look at it.....

Bad sense of humour

R1 doesn't look too bad, just depends if it's melted some wiring.

That's bad, atleast your insurance will cover it. Just be glad the dryer wasnt in the house, could have been a lot worse.

Bathroom is always a great place for electrical appliances

There was something on the BBC yesterday about tumble dryers saying you must clean the filters otherwise then can catch on fire.
Wasen't certain models either, just all!

In a way your lucky that you have a garage and it was in their.
I had a fire in my house 2 years ago, scary but also annoying how long the insurance companys can take, took 7 months to get back home.

Poor mini
