Some of you may be interested.
Well ive covered 550 miles now(in a week ), used 2 & a bit tanks of fuel (to the golfs single tank for that range ) trip computer says an average of 22mpg - but im not going to go all deano on you's here, its been a fun drive, ive loved every minute of it & keep finding myself making excuses to go for a drive.
The exhaust note is my only soundtrack atm, it sounds pretty nice, gets some amount of looks/stares etc in town.
Its great all round takes everything you throw at it & does it well, whether just pootling along canny-be-arsed type driving at 2k rpm in auto as it is flat out going for it on the paddles. Something I dont think you could say with the likes of an Evo or impreza where the power deliveries either hells for bells or stopped!!!
Car has been washed twice by hand.......by my hand!! which is almost unheard of for me. I think im going to have to keep on top of this one to keep it looking pretty.
Other findings -
Sport button should be left OFF when its wet.
Got a slow puncture in one of the tyres so think i'll be having tyres swapped round sooner than later & 'if' I find some cash under the matress I might go all out & get some CSL BBS wheels.
Drivers window sometimes has a mind of its own, drops when I open the door etc....need to get it in to get looked at.
Other than that....all is good!!
All in all great car, certainly the best ive ever owned & the SMG gearbox is fantastic (Jambo/Fad - its the future), I had to move my mates civic in the week & really had to think about what I was doing reg clutch/gearbox. Mines is so much easier to drive.
Dont worry, i'll not be doing one of these every week I just thought some of you might like to know how I was finding it.

Good stuff mate is one of the best colours. The drivers window drops if you press the unlock button twice then open the door. If it does it when you havent pressed the button then defo a problem.

Yeah but not all the way down.
It 'sometimes' goes all the way open when I open the door to get in, then when I close the door behind me it goes back up
Will be a sensor/reg/motor or combo of those. Ive a years warranty so i'll keep an eye on it & it will get sorted when I have time.

If you hold the unlock button down then both windows go down completly without touching the car (another bit of info if you didn't know)

Yeah its like getting a slap over the back of the head at times!!
Its alot more refined in auto, the gearbox has 5 or 6 (I forgot!:boggle settings which I normally keep in the 2nd least aggressive for 'normal' driving. Paddles are ace, sometimes get confused over what im doing & end up going for both paddle & stick & get myself into all types of shit - fun though!!

Ive noticed a few of the 3 series coupes ive driven at work do this, so its either a common problem, or nothing to worry about
