Exactly Luke. Just going to be loads of teams who arent in this Double Prem league blowing money they dont have and risking it all to try to get that elusive 1 promotion spot.

So basically....he wants to change the Championships name to EPL 2, and put both Celtic and Rangers in there. The only have two go upa nd down each season between those two leagues and one into and out the EPL 2.
Im all for putting Rangers and Celtic into the PL, let alone the Championship and then just have the same relagation/promotion as now.
Limiting the teams to 1 coming up is just going to kill any football under the EPL 2.

I also can't think of a way that Celtic and Rangers could join the PL without it being unfair on Championship teams.

Or without it being unfair on the other Scottish teams!!
IMO - if you were only bring in Celtic and Rangers - Id put them into the PL. The Id increase the number of teams who go down to 4 for the next 2 seasons.
That way its still fair to some degree as same amount would come up from the Championship, and would be fair in PL as the worst would go down as they deserve.

It'd mean you wouldnt have to start playing UEFA Qualifiers in June though. They might like it. Another week at Disneyland with the kids FTW.

Exactly. And by the time the season comes about them lot are in the same position as most Championship clubs - not in Europe.

I'd take being put in the bottom rung of England right now, as would a lot of our fans and probably our board as well.
We're stagnating in the SPL.

You genuinely think the Old Firm would want to be in the Prem? Neither would eve rget into CL, Rangers wouldnt even get in top 10 and Celtuic would only get as high as UEFA IMO... cant see why it would make that much senbse for them
All for it though and like Cosmos idea of 4 down for 2 years

Want to get into the Premiership? Our board would move ANYWHERE where our multimedia revenue would resemble anything decent. We're being suffocated in a footballing back water just now.
