LINK

Isn't it easier to just go into Halfords and pick one off the shelf? If you want to buy online ebay would be cheapest, eezi bleed kit is what you need.

Nipples are a common thing to break, different metals in the nipple to the cyliner iirc, ends up corroding in.

Usually ends up needing a new cylinder.

Why were you bleeding them to start with? If you were doing a fluid change you will deffo need to bleed the rears. Even if you have had just one front pipe off, it is best to bleed all four. A rear cylinder will only cost you a tenner so i'd be changing it instead of just leaving it.

Just buy a new one. You will have the same problem with one from a scrappy. Brakes aren't something you should skimp on.

They are £9.20 part number BWC6071

There are two different ones. You will need to call them and confirm which one matches your chassis number.

No thats the hose, but if your doing all this work anyway i recomend you get braided hoses really for optimum braking. I had the same problem as you so i bought 2x new cylinders, and got the rear 'pipes' from a later corsa up the scrappy.

Ive had my 2.0 brakes bled front and rear countless times, brand new master cylinder and they just wont stiffen up. pedal goes to the floor and is spongy no matter what i try. MY BRAKES ARE SHIT!

well i just went to vaux garage and they sold me a metre of pipe plus the 2 make ends for £4 so just gotta cut it down and shape.

yeh my brakes were always spongy when i had the 1.4 brakes on, brakes wouldnt lock up no matter how hard i tried and pedal went to floor, hope fully will be better with the 2L brakes on but will see.

right new problem fuck sake.

fitted the pipe and that, had to put the screws on each end my self so i did this by turning the edges out putting a rubber washer on and then screwing it in.

but i went thru bleeding the brakes 3 times with that easy bleed kit from halfrauds.

but every time i did it i pumped the pedal and nothing! there is a squelching noise coming from the back where i put that pipe on, but ive bled all four corners 3 times and its no better, the brakes do come on but foot goes to floor dead easy.

ive used 1L of brake fluid.

what do you suggest?

cheers

The kit you have bought is it the one that works off the spare wheel tyre pressure ? if it is and you have used correctly then you are getting air into the system from what ever pipe or joint you have replaced /renewed, best kit for bleeding is a mityvac, ensure you are not sucking in air somewhere or you are wasting your time, can you post pic of the rubber washer part you are talking about not sure what you mean, are you leaking fluid from any joint.

yeh teh 1 that uses spare tire.

ill have to get a pic tmrw, but i dont think its leaking air as im not leaking fluid anywhere. although ino fluid is more dense than air so air could be getting in and fluid cant get out.

Ive had the pedal really stiff like normal but it still makes that squelching noise, that's b4 i take that bleeding system off, but when i take that off i loose the stiff pedal

So after using the kit and bleeding each nipple in order so fluid runs clear ie no bubbles, then topping up master cylinder replacing cap you then get pedal to floor and squelching noise, what psi was in the spare you might have damaged the master clylinder seal. or you have gone wrong somewhere give it another go make sure you close nipple as clear fluid is coming out from the pressure of the kit. try again brake fluids not to dear.

duno what psi the tire was but couldnt of been over 20psi (like it ses in manual) coz i could press tire in.
