Hey guys, long time no see! After a few years fettling with MkII Golfs i finally ended up with another Corsa.

I was in desperate need of a new car after writing off my MkII Golf Sick and tired of riding 30 miles a day to work and back on my push bike took its toll and i bought the first thing i saw...

Now, it's a 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa Sprint 3 Door (Yes! I bought a 3 door!)
92K Miles
8 Monthes MOT
6 Monthes Tax
Full Scorpion Stainless Steel Exhaust
God Awful Bodykit
God Awful DTM Mirrors
Viper Induction Kit
TSW 8 Spoke Alloy Wheels
SRi Spoiler With Saxo VTR Spoiler

Now, let me start by saying i didnt plan on starting with the car just yet as i wanted it on the road to be able to drive to work and back. Taxless, i left it at work for ONE night and my workmates stripped it!

At this point the whole car was sanded to make the dents more visable.

This is how the car stands, minus the interior which is all over the workshop floor at the minute

Now, while looking for inspiration online i came across a photoshop and instantly knew what we were going to build.

We're sticking to this photoshop religously EXCEPT the wheels. All handles removed and smoothed, roof rails smoothed, fuel filler cap... the lot!

The locks are being taken car of with an AutoLoc remote control solenoid system and NO manual release on the car what-so-ever.

So...what do we think guys?

Jay!

The only thing that will effect how long it takes is cash. Im hoping to have it complete in the next month or so.

I actually work in Mansfield (Complete Auto Car, Millenium Business Park) so you'll no doubt see it around when complete!

Ok guys, small update time.

As it has stood for the past two weeks:

Went into work today on my day off to get some bits done. Started by filling some more of the bonnet, sanding it down and cutting out the areas where the washer jets fit ready to weld in the blanks.

I then started sanding the rest of the car to get rid of ANY imperfections in the current paint.

Inside of the car as it stands.

Radio Antenna removed ready to be plated

Photoshop of the colour the car is going.

Comments guys!

Should look ace if you keep it to plan, Personally I prefer it in the silver but I may just be biased

How you gonna go on with MOT's without a manual door release? Are you keeping interior door handles?
When I smoother my Astra doors a friendly MOT station said to keep the windows down so they can get at the handles as solenoids are not enough for external use.

I've also been told about leaving the windows down so they can get into the car. I suppose working in the trade is going to have an advantage when it comes to the MOT

That's true mate, My Astra should never have passed on stuff like that but the MOT station were sound.

Suppose an MOT is last of your worries now though

The other MOT issue is washer jets. I could put them in the scuttle panel but i really dont want to lol Is it the Pug 406 that has the washer jets on the wiper itself?

That's one thing I wanted to do on my Astra but never got round to it.
I know the 405 has the jet on the wiper arm. I'm sure somebody said some Mercs do too but I may be wrong.

Small update guys! Not had much time to myself recently but heres what has been done.

I've done some more filling/sanding which seems to be a never ending job.

There has also been a small revision. Going to extend the whole bonnet rather than just a bad boy bonnet.

Back to work tomorrow so i have a FULL day on it!
