...and I would have been back 3 hours ago driving mine. When people say 1.0 12v are faster, hell i believe them now! 
Foot on 1/3 throttle crusing at 81mph, when i foot the remainding 2/3 all i get is a brummmm and not a lot else, or maybe 1 or 2 mph..wow ... just thought I needed to tell you lot of this  laughable experaince cus I serousily thought my Corsa is slow.
Once I been in a nova 1.0 and it easily cruised to 100mph and beyond....I blame the corsa 4 'aving a CAT... or my sis's car is just fcuked..

1.4 8v spi isnt that bad tho... can get 70-80bhp with simple mods

At low revs I'll say its about the same as mine and is good, on the motoway, hell stick to the inner lanes.

i can get it rally prepd 4 bout 250 quid not worth it on mine i wudnt av fort, i can get a set of twin webber carbs but they wont work on my engine will they

I have a 1.2 8V and can easily cruise at 90-100 so I dont know why your getting problems.
Only mods I have are zorst and induction, so cant see it making much difference. May not be the actual speed but we would surely both be readin the same kinda speedo.

Well i did get 86 mph down hill..........RESULT!! though I was fighting with the lorries at one stage..

1.0 will not do 100mph 1.2 8v will struggle 1.2 16v will do 100 and over 1.4 ls about the same 1.4 sri about 114 and so on. by all accounts from what your saying a 1.6 will do 200mph

standard 1.2 8v does 93mph
i think my speeds are accurate
unlike other 1.2 8vs who say can get over 100 easy theyres aint accurate imo
14s i get 93 on a flat 100downhill
15s i get 90 on a flat and 95 downhill
17s i get 83ish rarely now on a flat and 90downhill rarely now too

16s 107 on the flat 109 downhill
17s 100 on flat 104 downhill
i'd like to see what i'd get on 14s but then the speedo will probably have been off at those speeds.
Put my new zorst on in a few days just a backbox although the tale pipe is 100mil wanna see if it will add performance!

Icy.. you'd love to talk to the guys from my bit like....
1.1 Saxos do 120mph
Nova Sri's do 140mph
Corsa sports off the clock at 130mph
(all with just a filter and exhaust )

that garbage matey i got a 1.0 12volt n can get 100 takes me lil longer now with 17's on but b4 with standard 13's hit it no probs??!! n thats the truth, i reckon in my 1.0 12v id beat 1.2 8v........ any doubters then race me
