My mate keeps getting his car pissed on by some lad that lives down his road, they don't like each other for various reasons and every time this lad comes home from a night out he takes a piss on my mates car 
As much as I find this amusing, he's getting quite pissed off and doesn't know what to do about it.
He's not the most aggressive of people so any suggestions of 'go knock him out' are out of the question.
Could the police do anything? DNA test the car and charge him for criminal damage?

CCTV is the answer.
Do it properly though, i.e. have a sign up (dont make it too obvious) and also make sure its good quality.
Get him doing it a number of times then take the evidence to the police.

In all honesty whats the point. He'll only get a suspended sentence and maybe a small sign. Criminal justice system is fucked up. Could take law into your own hands but then u end up facing court etc etc

a) You can't take your own DNA samples to the Police and ask them to test it.
b) Unless your mate has been arrested before, they wont have his DNA on record.
