Natwest are fucking tools.

i have 2 accounts

1 of them has a £300 overdraft
1 of them has a £1000 overdraft

i had £450 in account 1 so i wasnt in my overdraft
in account 2 i had £700 so £300 in my overdraft.

Natwest have decided today to remove my overdrafts
leaving me with 0.00 money for the next month
i have direct debits going out and rent etc
Yea they may be saving me £100 but they have swallowed my cards
and shut off my online banking
i have no money what so ever
They didnt even write to me or tell me i had to find out thsi morning when trying to buy some shopping

Probably better in the long run.
I hated living in debt many years ago.

I don't have or want an overdraft now.

If you're really fucked, try going to another bank and opening another account with an overdraft, and keep your money in cash.

But who is really the tool? They did you a favour by giving you the money, so you should pay it back. How long have you had an overdraft in the accounts

What was the need to have an overdraft anyway?

9/10 people who have overdrafts tend to just waste the money on alcohol, clothes, and accesories for their car. Nothing they actually need so i have no smypthay for them.

A few of my friends are the same. One friend lives at home (well of family) earns £16,000 a year and has only just turned 19, yet he struggles to pay for a £700 corsa and put fuel in it. He owes £0000's and that all he has to show for it. Just wastes it on fags and drink, and then moans when the bank takes it off him.

You've done the bank a favour by using the overdraft and paying interest on the balance. Banks aren't nice little helpers out there, they are there to make money.

The rest of the money hasnt been " explained " yet i have to wait for a letter through the post to find out whats happening with the rest

£600 has gone walk abouts basically and they wont explain it over the phone it has to be done via letter

Yes, but if they didnt go this, they wouldnt be able to offer him his 'deposit'!

So they are doing ud a favour really, and your paying for the privillage. Im sorry but this is why the countrys banks is a mess; Borrowing to people (banks take blaim aswell) who dont pay it back!

Imagine if it was the other way around. You are Mr natwest, and you are owed £700 for example, and the person doesnt pay it back, even though they have money in their account, and keep getting money paid in!

EDIT

Sorry this isnt you case though. I understand where you are comming from now. I didnt read the thread properly.

By you saying £300 over draft, and a £1000, to me that says you owe £1300, not that £1300 is your over draft limit!

shouldn't be living in your overdraft at all to be honest.

i've never had an overdraft and i don't see why you would want one, unless for emergencies, but then thats what a credit card is for.

natwest are a brilliant bank imo, always helped me.

oh, but the taking it without telling you a month beforehand is pretty shit. perhaps phone them up and speak to them about it rather than ranting on CS???
