Havent seen a post on here yet so thought id start one?
Anybody watching the u21s tournament, its my only real outlet of football at the moment so really enjoying watching this.
were looking very promising though, we cruised past a spain time that were pipped to be favourites.
i can see us getting to the finals and my guess will be that its against italy which would be a very good game to watch.
my hat goes off to Pearce though, great manager and hopefully one day he will be the senior manager.

Yep I watched them against Spain, the Under-21's seem to have a much better ability to keep hold of the ball for long periods of time compared with the full internationals.
Some good quality players coming through, Kieron Gibbs looks decent, as does Adam Johnson.

Not been the most exciting games of football ever, but they've won them both, so can't complain too much.
Feel a bit sorry for the Spain U21s tho, won all their qualifiers, then the confederation cup was scheduled for the same time, so they've lost 5 eligible players to the full squad.
The England U-21s have been fairly average tho imo, fortunately that's been enough to beat the other teams so far

Gibbs has been player of the tournament for me so far 
Walcott looked awesome when he came on in the 2nd match, shouldnt be there though IMO

As Pearce said, Muamba was awesome against Spain.
That's the first time I've really noticed him but he put in a textbook holding midfield performance.

On a different note, I bought Marcus Berg on FM07 and he went on to be amazing. He's the top scorer at the moment, and has already scored more than the previous top scorers with at least one game left for him.
The Colyear boys are genius' when it comes to making management games (and to a lesser extent the scouts are Crewe Alexandra on the game) Looks like he's gonna turn out to be a decent striker.

Hope we come back with a bigger bid for Johnson as he does look pretty decent. Also rumured by are taking Gibbs on loan but can't see Arsenal letting him go. Come on England!
