id say thats quite a good bike to start on, just because it says 1200 on the side doesnt mean its gonna rip your head off...
nice bike, the power soon becomes addictive though, i predict an r1 next week

No miles on it yet, its literally just on the front looking pretty! Makes a lovely noise, although I need to fit a new end can, as it's a race one on it at the moment lol
Been Dynojet'd, so pushing 120bhp at the moment
Shall be out tonight on it, as going to a lil regional biker meet

actually these are real workhorses, they are very good bike and id love one actually....
the whole big bike thing im sorry is rediculous, bigger bikes are better not for speed but for the way they feel more planted, engines feel better as they dont need revving so you can roll on in top gear round sweepy a-roads, on 600 you would be banging down the box.....
end of the day the bike could have 300 bhp but its still you who is twisting the throttle not the bike...
my first bike a triumph daytona 955cc

I was expecting far less from this i.e. a bike without an engine.

Good bikes are the 1200's. I think I needed one this weekend. 650 needs revving a bit to get going.
Wheelie happy machines, loved by many, ultra reliable, good choice. Loads of low down power.
Nowt wrong with digi speedos too. Except the fuel gauge is mad.
Get that awful rim tape off though.

Well I worked out the MPG... 25 Open up the tap, you can actually see the fuel going down!

I love it when people think more CC = more power... A few guys I used to ride with had Bandit 1200's and my R6 used to pull away from them quite easily and that's only 0.6 litre. Cool bikes though, hold wheelies well from what I've seen. Nice one.

I'm not fussed, much more enjoyable than driving a car, regardless of weather too in my opinion
It's booked in at the garage anyway now. New chain and sprockets, Quite a tidy sum indeed

Aye I know its not the most powerful out there, but its the style I like, and it still has enough go to get out of any sticky situations and such! Plus I can't get comfy on the sports style bikes, they just make me ache in places I never thought could ever ache! Got this one purely for the size and style, the 1200 engine is a bonus too as it sounds much Much better than the 6's

nice to see someone who will own up to the fact that sportsbikes are uncomfortable but you have to have one as its SPORTS BIKE MAD BRITAIN.
british people only want to stand in a pub and tell people what they have got, where as a bandit 1200 type owner generally is not like this, and the fact is you will keep up with most things on that bandit anyway while being more comfortable... less you start going silly speeds like 120mph+
my mate at work has bmw r1100s and lets just say he sticks with my boss on his blade unless the road opens up which tbh is boring anyway so what does that matter through the twisty's no getting away, OV COURSE my big headed boss with his fireblade and sp1 comes up with the usual excuses as to why he never got away
