You feel tired?
Or you're wary?

How do you make a weld in carbon cage
Also, my main concerns with CF, and I work with it alot seeing as the Eurofighter is mostly covered in it and BAe are one of the world leaders in CF manufacture, is the fact that a steel cage, will bend and still hold together. CF cannot do that, molecularly, they are totally different and CF isn't maleable enough to withstand the forces.
If it is a show cage, then fair enough, but I can't see some blokes in a shed making anything to compete with T45.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I think you are both thinking too much into this CF thing. Id put money on them ending up being a steel cage covered in CF.

Well when someone says "carbon fibre rollcage" I get this in my mind:
http://www.oakleydesign.eu/carbon-fibre-roll-cage
Not a normal steel cage with a carbon finish.

Did you believe some companies when they said they made carbon fibre alloys too?

Modern chassis are made from bonded carbon fibre..........it is easily strong enough to make a cage out of!

I haven't said at any point that it's NOT possible. How are people not getting it?
I said, again, "I hope they know what they're doing".

The strength isn't the issue. The properties of the material and the fact it handles stress in a different way to steel is your biggest hurdle.

Thank you. If they use the wrong weave or resin it won't have the strength it needs.
