Why don't you just wait til winter to get one? They're always dearer in summer, and given the longest day has just gone, we're heading back to winter.
You can save more money and get an even nicer one for 2010.

I had the top down
and I also had some girl make a comment about my car  I was standing next to it and she said 'is this your car???' - I was like 'yeh.'
She was like 'WOW'  'What job do you do?'
My car was parked next to a 09 plated audi a3 which was probably worth 3 times as much as my car top down flashness in the sun - FTW!

I had that with mine, Efini badge confuses 99% of people. Truck driver over here stopped me in a petrol station and says "Ist dass ein Aston Martin?"

I was just thinking the other day how much rx7's look like supercars i.e. to the clueless non car idiot they would put it in the same category as ferraris, astons, mclarens, porsches etc
Back on topic tho... I must admit when I first looked at s2000's I said to my mate, I'd never drive it with the top down and was going to buy a hard top for it.
Once I got the car I saw how expensive hard tops were and scrapped that idea... but then on driving around a few times with the top down on a lovely day, I was hooked  Reminds me of riding my motorbike, the smell of fresh air, the ability to view the surroundings easily etc.
I love it when sitting in traffic in wooded areas and just looking up at the trees.
Also since I pass heathrow airport everyday and go through the landing lights at the beginning of the runway, I often get planes landing like 20 - 30 metres up in the air above me I just look up and see under carriage and engines... but the noise

They are supercars  I know what you mean though, one of the best looking cars ever to come out of Japan.
You know they put a Spirit R on the Mazda heritage section of the last British Motorshow, and people still wanted to place orders?

Strangely enough in my bmw people let me out of junctions etc  , when I drove the corsa I used to let more people out, I feel I don't as often anymore, is it the bmw telling me not to or just coinscience? tune in next time on the fuck knows show.

Have to agree sand-eel - Far more people let me out, drive less like dickheads around an M3 than they did when I have the Evos etc etc.
