Got a 1.6 sport with no service history, going to give it a major service before i do anything with it; planning on doing:
Spark plugs
leads
oil flush
oil filter
air filter
fuel filter
cambelt
ancillary belt
water pump
brake pads

Pollen filter

Anything else I should change?

Also, what else should i change when changing the cam belt and the ancillary belt? (Any pullies/tensioners etc)

pully wise you get two pulleys and the tensioner with the kit so change all 3 its worth it cos there only shitty nylon ones so they break up after a while specially if its got no service history

car with no service history i would (if i didnt need to have the car to drive for a while and it had done 80k)

All the service bits you've said
New oil and water pump
New crank pulley & woodruf key
Take head off and check bores for damage and wear.
Rebuild the head (new valve guides, new oil seals, new lifters)
A Very light skim if its needed at all
Top end Gasket set

Sump off to replace seal
Check the big end bearings and Main journal bearings for wear and replace of nessasery
ARP's (has to be done dont it

)

then i'd think about playing with it

My old corsa had no hisotry, i just got it, service (oil, filters, plugs) and change the cambelt!

It sounded ok, just did the belt due to the milage it had done, and oil for general tip top! Just because a car had no history, i wouldnt take the head off

. You can tell if its running alright by performance, sound, smoke etc.

And my old corsa never did have any history, I didnt have the book, and looked after it religiously. Oil and filter every 3k, 2 cambelt changes with water pump and tensioners etc

I should remember this.... every time a car comes through my workshop with over 80k on the clock, i'll recommend to the customer they need:
*headgasket changing
*cambelt kit/waterpump changing
*new oil pump
*may aswell rebuild the head
*rings and shells
*new clutch
Why not renew a few gears while your at it... they take looooads of wear after 80k.

hmm..possibly:
*suspension bushes
*renew all brakes and tyres.

for a corsa which most likely has a max value of 1200 notes.

Bung some injector cleaner whilst your there and maybe give throttle body a clean out, Rocker cover gasket aswell maybe?

I mean empty oil, change filter new oil in leave it to turn over empty oil again then put new oil in again, surely that would be fine
