Crying, never got to witness him in charge of Ipswich but my dad did and what he achieved at Ipswich was nothing short of a miracle.
But not just Ipswich everywhere he went he achieved something.
Sad sad day for all Ipswich fans around the world.

Starting reading his book on holiday, one of the very few people that was both a loved man and a winner.
Football is better off for having him within the game. RIP.

I do find it absolutely ridiculous that SkySports are focusing their attention on his time at Newcastle where by Freddy Shepard saw fit to sack him.
As per usual his greatest achievements as a manager at Ipswich are overlooked.

Put Sky Sports News on, it's like the only team he has managed was Newcastle, it's ridiculous.
Winds me the fcuk up.

"how fond the people of Newcastle are?"
How about going to Suffolk and interviewing the Ipswich fans and asking them HOW SPECIAL HE IS TO THEM?
I can assure you is FAR more special to Ipswich fans than Newcastle.

you can't really say who he is more special to. i'm sure fans of both clubs will be equally gutted. i know what you mean about sky sports though. it wouldn't be the first time that smaller clubs get overlooked.

Why getting so worked up about SSN? If you and Ipswich fans are gutted about it, then that's good because he had such an impact on you, but ranting about who loves him most etc is crazy.
It's a sad, sad day for a lot of people. I'm gutted about it

I can see where the Ipswich fans are coming from. Typical SSN, I'm not even watching and can imagine them only linking SBR with Newcastle.
IMO they should be recognising every club (and of course our country) that he was in charge of.
R.I.P from a Sunderland fan.

It's the more recent news unfortunately the Newcastle stuff, so they'll focus on that as people don't have memories any more.
I'll echo Conways post, he seemed to be one of these people you never thought would die
He was a legend.

“For anyone who loves Ipswich Town Football Club he will always have a special place in our hearts. And for so long as there is an ITFC we will remember how this talented man brought warmth, humour and amazing success to a small town in Suffolk. Thank you Sir Bobby. We love you.”

Did anyone see Kieron Dyer just being interviewed?
Could hardly speak, was tears in his eyes. With Kieron being an Ipswich lad through and through thats how much he meant.

Dyer got a nerve! It was he and his little Bum Chum Jenas that started undermining Robson in front of the squad at Newcastle which ultimately led to him loosing the dressing room.
