Bored, just been looking at apartments to rent for around £5-600 a month and got bored so had a look at some expensive stuff around my area. I reckon i'd probably be happy in this place if I was filthy rich

I honestly wouldn't want to move too far from the area I'm in now so probably something like this. My mrs really wants this place though and comments everytime we drive past

I'd build my own, complete with underground garage to house all my cars. I'd have a normal garage then inside it would have a ramp to lower me down to the underground car park

like conwayjoe says i wouldn't want to be a million miles away from here so the nearest place with the best houses would be Cheshire.
something like this would be nice - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-18163657.html?locationIdentifier=POSTCODE%5E511665&minBedrooms=5&minPrice=3000000&radius=15.0&pageNumber=2&premiumA=true&backToListURL=%2Fproperty-for-sale%2Ffind.html%3FlocationIdentifier%3DPOSTCODE%255E511665%26minBedrooms%3D5%26minPrice%3D3000000%26radius%3D15.0%26index%3D10

There is a derelict farm on top of a hill in the countryside not massively far from where I live now that has the best views around for miles. I'd buy it and have it rebuilt/extended. The driveway up the hillside to it is about half a mile long too. Could get a small hill climb going on

I'd have a Huf Haus; something like this, completely custom made, prefabbed in Germany with al wring, plumbing etc. Then find a nice piece of land and get it built.
Then there have to be the garages and stables to match too

Either something like >THIS<, >THIS< or >THIS<, or something a little more traditional like >THIS<, >THIS<, >THIS<, >THIS<, >THIS<, >THIS< or >THIS<.
Although, i never really thought about it to be honest - when i have 2mil to blow on a house i'll think about it then.
edit - Huf Haus look brilliant! Didn't someone build one on Grand Designs?

I'd buy something modest, like THIS
I wouldnt want to move too far away so limited for choice really.
Stable block would be converted into a heated garage too.

I watched an episode of grand designs where they had a german prefab house built, they got german builders in to do most of the work, i couldnt fucking believe how intricately they work. fuck knows what their bricklayers are like but they would probably put me and most bricklayers in britain to shame.

Yeah, that was a Huf Haus.
I loved how the Germans turned up at 8am on the dot, all the way from Germany. The English crane driver from a few miles away was late by a good few hours.

yeh, loved it when they built the kitchen and one of the dudes from germany said the wall tiles were a few mil out of level and made them rip it down and start again. i can imagine the uproar if they told british builders to start again
