First of all, I knowthis is corsa website and this car isnt to everyones taste, but this is by far the best forum i am on and the only one i post on so really want to post some pics on here..
anyway, i bought this Suzuki Swift 1.0 GLS on Sunday the 6th of September to downsize from my Ford escort as i am off to university end of this month, and need something cheap to tax and run.. looked at corsas which were heap of crap, and as i always liked these and their prices, i got one!
advert pics:
The exterior isn't bad at all apart few little dings and scratches, but interior was awful! some one used to smoke in it (alot!) and never cleaned the trim/seats. took me good 4 hours to get it to an acceptable standard (doesn't smell and clean dash/seats). Still got loads to do for when i get next day off.
I think these are few of the worst pics i saw on car adverts!

Bucket seats are really nice and comfortable, and look great too!
I already gave it a good service with new:
Air and oil filter, new oil andplugs/leads. need to get new fuel filter and its sorted!
Have bought clear side indicators and ordered chrome bulbs to go with them, so should be on the car on friday/saturday
Current mods include:
Cd player
12" SPLX Subwoofer (had it for two years and it was installed in every car i had! )
Debadged rear
To do:
Alloys
lower
nice exhaust tip
mesh front bumper
laguna splitter
wind deflectors

u can't really see in pics, but under the numper plate, there is big open space, which i think could be nicely filled with mesh. wouldn't do it in silver, was thinking matt black would look nice and not "in your face".

dont think blades came standard on anything, does the top kleft and bottom left wheel both have a chunk out them?

Chrome bulbs fitted:
Engine bay atm.
plans are to give it a good wash down and try and paint the engine. it's that small so might get away with painting it while it's still fitted!
set of new number plates should be ordered today if i can find a place that doesnt requireme to send them my docs.

Just bought another set of wheels!
look much better condition wise! will take my time and refurbish them, and get some tyres in a month or two time.

still waiting on alloys  it had been more than a week now, but according to Parceforce tracking service, i should get the alloys tomorrow..
going to start on refurbishing them on Wednesday.

well finally got the alloys! packaging was amazing to be honest, and packed probably better than alloys at factory!
wasn't expecting much of the alloys as it said in the description that they are curbed, but when i opened the boxes I was suprised to see the alloys in decent condition!
all above happened at around 8 o'clock inthe evening and even though it was tempting to go outside and try fit the alloys, i stayed inside
Got up early this morning, and gave the alloys a quick wash
front wheel backed in brake dust.

Obviously had to try them on the car
clearance at the back
will be getting 185/50/15 tyres for rear and possibly even narrower for front
job for when i come back from uni today is to remove all the weights from alloys and possibly rub down the centre caps/primer them.
Not in a hurry to refurbish them so going to take my time.
also while the wheels were off i noticed that brake pads haven't got much life left in them, so might look into getting bigger brake dics/calippers.

Possibly one of the more random projects I've read in a while
Is there any funky bits off the Subaru Justy you can transfer over? Whether it be cosmetic or performance. They're the same car aren't they iirc?
What colour you doing the wheels? Thinking stick with silver imo.

interior is pretty much the same on the Justy, except seats look a bit different.
i might get some GTi skirts from swift or try and adapt some other ones.
as for wheels was thinking white.

Good luck trying to keep DIY refurbed white alloys clean lol. Bad enough keeping proper powdercoated ones clean!

how are DIY refurbed wheels hard to keep clean? this is a genuine question btw i have no clue.

New numberplates arrived today!

should fit them on tuesday depending on weather!

Sorry, only just found this. You will never get a decent finish via DIY that is easy to maintain, mainly because the lacquer won't be cured as well as it would when baked in an oven, so won't be so resistant or hard wearing.

Got my plates from there, There about the best you can get, not like the new style. Cheap, and reliable aswell.
Was surprised how quickly they came aswell!

New plates fitted. I think i need a 3/4 front plate though. will get one if i get to go to some shows next year. don't fancy forking out 60 quid for having illegal plate just because it looks good.
now thinking what to do next. buy a remote central locking kit or wind deflectors. or some polish and get it shiny.
