Am on a training course in Swindon all week....
Felt like shit before I left and Monday started coming down with flu
By today I'm that tired after having 10 hours sleep and being so short of breath, I phone the Pandemic flu number and they say yup you've got swine flu symptoms and also complications so see a GP asap, however they gave me a code for Tamiflu.
Gave me the details of the pharmacy in Swin I should collect from... said open till 8pm. I just finished training at about 5:20pm.... got to the pharmacy at 5:30pm and as I was walking up to the door of it, the bitch behind the counter walks up and locks the door, looks at me and says where closed, then walks off!!?
I bang the door and tell her to come back, tries speaking to me through the door to which I told her open the door. She opened it a little bit and said regardless of situation the pharmacist isnt letting me in as they close at 5:30! Told her to get fucked. Have now got to go to a pharmacy in North Swindon and have been told to put a complaint in with the RPS - like thats gonna do fuck all!

No which is why I told her to get fucked when I explained it....
I had to shout Excuse Me rather loud as she didnt hear me say it the first time as she was walking off
I werent getting fuck all from when she saw me walking up to the door and she thought better lock that quick so I can go home urgently because that 4 minutes will make all the difference

Ben, if I didn't have several family members who are 50+ then I wouldn't have bothered but I'd rather try it even if they do fuck all to be honest.
As far as I go just some boiling hot tea is keeping me sinuses clear

so they open for 9hrs and you turn up when they are closing expecting them to cough up? Fair play if they said open to 8 thats bad, but why should she stay late for you? Doubt she would get paid for it so its not in her interest.
Surely there is a supermarlet with a pharmacy around? Theres about 4 within a 6mile radius of my house all with pharmaciies etc.

Tamiflu is not a nice thing to take from what i've read, generally fucks you up more to get rid of a comparitively undangerous flu.
My mum works for Aventis who make the vaccines for these things, and she's convinced that Bird Flu is gonna come back and kill a hell of a lot more people, H1N1 isn't much of a killer in comparison, and can be relatively contained and treated, however Bird Flu is mutating and becoming harder and harder to do anything with

What's so bad about swine flu people? Is it this super virus that makes your skin melt off or something?
I had a really bad head cold last week and continued as normal to take my mind off it, but everyone with the same sort of thing are saying they've had swine flu etc...
The only deaths reported in relation are deaths that would occur with normal flu anyway, matched with other underlying health problems.

"People" are idiots, they believe what they are told, and the mass-media made it into a massive panic, whilst kindly ignoring the fact that a tiny amount of susceptable people have died from Swine Flu, and negating to mention the thousands who die every winter from normal flu.
