Since it's coming to the end of the decade, I'm intrueged to see who you'd all put in your teams, and why?

Khan

Neville Carragher Cannavaro Roberto Carlos

Ronaldo Gerrard Zidane Giggs

Van Nistelrooy Henry

I guess I'll need to explain a couple

Van Nistelrooy, Henry, Zidane, Gerrard, Khan and Giggs should need no explaining really.

Neville - Although most teams hate him, he was brilliant and getting forward, a great crosser, and a no nonsense defender as well!

Carragher - Where Rio Ferdinand took years to get rid of all the mistakes (even though he still makes a few), Carra has always been solid.

Cannavaro - Still playing excellent football at the highest level (and was outstanding at WC06).

Bobby Carlos - Although quite useless at defending, he was outstanding going forward, and loved a pip. I love players who love a pip

Ronaldo - Although he hasn't been around THAT long, it'd be stupid not to have him in the team.

I know others will differ, but that's mine So what be all yours?

This is entirely coincidental that I came across that 2:45 into the vid

None of them have gone 49 matches unbeaten

He may have flapped on very rare occassions, he may be a huge loony but there is no doubting his goalkeeping ability

Could find similar on all the other keepers you mentioned too, its amusing too that the very keeper you picked as your best of the decade lost his plac edin his national team to Lehmann, just in time for the home WC too IIRC

Are you even insinuating that Lehman in his day is better than Khan in his day? Khan was past it at that point I think. And I think the 49 match unbeaten run was down to more than just one man, no?

OK, not gonna pick a whole 11 but I'd say

GK

Dida, Buffon and Cech

RB

Cafu, G.Neville, Sergio Ramos maybe

CB

Campbell, Cannavaro, Ferdinand, Puyol, Terry... look at their honours, speak for themselves

LB

Maldini, A. Cole (his Arsenal days, not Chelsea), Zambrotta, Evra

RM

Beckham, C. Ronaldo, Ljungberg, loads of others who I can't think of

CM

Gerrard, Lampard, Vieira, Xavi, Iniesta, Scholes, Seedorf, Essien plus loads more

LM

Pires, Giggs plus loads ore I can' think of

CF

Ronaldinho, Ronalod, Henry, Rooney, Eto'o, van Nistelhorse, Torres, Drogba, Inzaghi, the list goes on

Lots of players form specific teams there (ie Arsenal, Man Utd, AC Milan, CHelsea, Barca) picked mainly on the list of honours they won, not necy cos they were the best players (ie Ljungberg, Seedorf, Inzaghi)
