One of our guys stacked it BIG time... went full speed into the barrier and wiped them out.

He's in a bad way... thinks he's broken finger and ribs! haha

Being light doesn't make you 'good' at karting. It means you can simply accelerate out of the corners much faster than someone heavier, thus improving your laptime to something that a heavier but more skilled driver cannot achieve. You want to go to a proper kart event where the total weight of kart and driver is equalised via ballast.

It makes you have the advantage at a random turn up and drive circuit though. My fastest lap was .8 seconds faster then the next man. I can drive a kart well, but being light did help. It had to have. I qualified in 6th out of 8 and still won. The first time I drove I qualified 8th out of 8 and came 3rd. The first time I'd ever karted too.

I did the endurance race a few weeks ago, it's great fun. I think we finished 5th or 6th out of 18 so not bad. But a few had brought their karts with them that had better tyres. My fastest lap there is 1:11.8

I was on the main track at Daytona MK. The lap record is something like 1.08 so you must of smashed it
