Have been making the lighter and re positioning the cage higher in the roof ready to attach the front half.

Have also stripped all the wiring loom out that the car should never have been fitted with in the first place.

I have also ordered some E36 BMW adjustable top mounts that i will know doubt have to make fit.

UPDATE!

I have plated and welded the rear wheel arches ready to take the rear half cage and have fitted the solid adjustable top mounts to give positive caster and negitive camber!

Guide to fitting for MK4 golf/vag solid top mounts.

1.Cut off old top mount.
2.Measure new top mount and mark (ready to drill and cut hole bigger).
3.If caster adjustment needed then grind lip off under wheel arch so the mount sits flat.
4.Fit top mount from under wheel arch and check hole size to allow adjustment.
5.Remove old rubber mount from shock down to bearing.
6.From bearing fit 1mm thick washer to space.
7.Fit new top mount using sleve provided and old to nut ( top hat nut to allow movement in adjuster ball)
8.Bolt shock up and adjust as necessary.....Camber & Toe IN/OUT (tracking)

Easy Ha...........

Now i need to clean up and tidy the holes up then paint the top and underseal the under side.

Well now i have painted the inside and it all looks pritty i dont want it all scratched up by chucking wheels in the back when i go to track days.......

So i have made a wheel rack to fit into the back of the car to solve this problem

It needs painting but you get the picture.
