Well, the time has come to get a more sensible (kind of lol) car for the daily drive to work!
Some of you may know my Corsa which ive owned for about 6 years now is being broken for parts!!
Anyway, onto the new addition! Its a 99 T Reg GTI-6 that my dad used to own about 3 years ago, its good condition with a genuine 48k on the clock. It has some small mods such as the Scorpion back box and uprated discs/pads. Dont have many plans for this but to keep its relatively standard as its such a nice car to drive anyway. I will be upgrading the suspension as its far too high for me but i still want to keep it drivable, also some wheels at a later date but other than that il be just keeping it clean.
Enjoy the pictures

Finally got the money to get a decent suspension setup!!
Took it to a company in Brackley near Silverstone called PUG1OFF and they did a brilliant job of fitting the new suspension and adjusting the torsion bar, which was a nightmare apparently lol.
Went for Bilstein B6 Shocks all round, -40mm Apex front springs and torsion bar lowered one notch, have to say it looks loads better and rides nicely but ive yet to fully test the handleing due to the crap weather! Feels much flatter though
New Camera too so got some decent pictures!

Looks good
Was under the impression that the GTi-6 handled bloody well for stock anyway though? My mates HDi always did.

Was a good handling car before but this setup for the money should make it abit better in the corners.
Yes Chris, its Astor grey and your correct, quite a rare colour

very nice that
i would get some 60mm springs for the front, for a touch nose heavy look, would look x10 better imo rather then rear end heavy..
looks smart in that colour..

Handle much better IMO, but I had a diesel, not sure if the GTi6's are any different.

Its far better than the corsa in every way imo lol. Happy with the hight of the car at the front because it gets used every day and would be impractical if it was any lower. Plus it was only lowered that day and will settle a few more mm and its on a hill which makes the back squat abit more.
Will get some better pictures when the weather clears up! Thanks for the comments.

That light feeling is actually the passive rear steering. It feels like the back is stepping out but it is under control and helping the rear round. The only problem is once you push it past the limit, it's a little harder to get back.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

A few new pictures of the car.
Got a few new things on the car now. A Pipercross Viper induction kit, Goodridge brake lines all round and some new mats, clips and rubber on the drivers side.
All thats left to do is get some decent tyres and get on some track days

I'd have another GTI 6 over a 106
Thats an awesome colour
Handle mint, notice the extra weight in the corners but pull better out of the corners compared to a 106
i change the steering wheels to a dished one and its an awesome driving position too

Little update.
Decided to spray the peugeot badges front and back in matt black to try something abit different and im quite pleased with the look.
Only thing now is id realy like some smoked front lights but im not sure if they make them anymore!failing that it might be possible to split the lights and do it myself, going to look into it some more.
The only real exciting thing is that ive booked a track day at Bedford Autodrome for April 26th, need new tires soon so have decided to do the track day while i have abit of tread left!
Going to be abit nervous because its my first one, but im just going to take it easy and get to know the car, plus they offer tuition for novices which im going to do
Two pictures showing the badges...
