Thought i may aswell stick a thread up

Finally got rid of my Peugeot 206 after a dreadful 6 months of owning such a shit car. Never again am i going french!!
Anyway moved onto bigger and better things....

2007 Seat Ibiza Fr in Emocion Red, here are some of the photo's from the advert

Finally got the car for £8500, 1 previous owner with 19k on the clock. Picked the car up on the 12/10 and have loved every minute of owning it.

Fast but also economical when you need to be which is a bonus for the mileage i do.

Got some fancy photos done from a mate off SeatCupra.Net which i think look pretty good

Thanks for looking

At the moment just saving up after slightly under estimating some costs but thinking of...

Remap so should be around 170bhp 300lb/ft of torque.
SeatSport FMIC
Miltek turbo back
Whiteline RARB

Thank will probably take forever to do but be worth it in the end.

O and also change the back tyres as i dont rate Pirelli p-zero nero's at all , but im not too keen on the £120 price tag of matching the fronts....goodyear Eagle F1's

Just been looking through the Seatcupra site and to my delight i've found out after 06 (i think) they changed the engine on the FR from an ASZ to a BLT.

My car a couple of weeks ago got an engine mount on a recall done and i asked about a service, the guy thought the BLT engine was the PD150.

On the SeatCupra site everyone who has had their FR's rolling roaded with the BLT engine has made 150bhp. Sounds like i have a bit more power than the pre-facelifts

nice car i like the look of these but they do sit abit high for my liking and BLT is a funny name for an engine just when i read it it made me think of the sandwich lol. Good luck with the plans and keep us up to date.

Update

Today whilst cleaning the engine bay i looked at the air intake and removed for closer inspection. Once removed i noticed a large plastic flap that was restricting the amount of air it could take in so i butchered it and my god i'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

(i had already cut into it and thought i'd do a comparison photo)

After i had removed the plastic flap you can see the difference

Nice little subtle mod

Lovely car you've got. I also hacked out my intake scoop on my Ibiza MK4 PD130. Don't suppose it made much difference but every little helps.

Any other plans for your FR?

Rash (black ibiza) is about the only person that has pulled off 18" wheels on the Mk4. Im sticking with 16's for now on mine, may go for 18's when everything else is done.

Fitted myself a boost gauge ready for a rolling road meet next saturday which is happening at Motorscope in town.

Quite suprised on how high these things boost as standard! Hits 2bar and settles down at 1.4/5 bar until 4000rpm and then tails off.

Wanted to fit one of these before it got remapped as i want to keep on eye on things.

Will get some pictures up soon

Yours is mapped then!

Standard they boost to 1.4/5 bar and settle around 1.2bar. I thought mine might of been mapped due to the RR figures it made, First one is boost in 3rd gear, 2nd one is boost in 4th gear

Mines the ASZ, same engine really, but the BLT has some slight changes to make it fit stricter emissions catagory or something
