Ok, so I had some mega workouts over the summer, after redundancy I had 4 months of no work and was training at 3pm.
Now im back to training in the rush hour at 6 and its a bloody struggle. I used to does myself up on ephedrine or something like a red kick drink but taking anything that late at night = no sleep
Not liking the half hearted workouts im managing now

I'm not a fan of going after work but I have little choice. I've been a few times during the day and it's much better. Alot quieter and I feel fresher.

Yeah, I prefer to go staright after work. If I go home first and sit down I lose the motivation.
Luckily my gym is right next to where I work so will just drive round when I leave tonight!
PS3 btw.

AH FFS, im so tired wrong forum.
Mods please move to sports day.
God this is why i hate office hours, specially at this shit hole where its 8-5 rigid and no flexibility... training sucks at 6pm esp in winter
think i might go the ephedrine route and just take it at 4 or something.

when i dont have college in the evening I get to the gym for about 7 and have a session before work.
I find it helps me wake up and i generally feel better and more switched on over the course of the day.

Used to go after work at 5
Never got a good full session in due to being tired from work and gym being so busy
Now going at 6.30am - nobody going about and I've got all the energy in the world = win

testosterone peaks at around 3 hours after waking and 9 hours after waking so those are the best times to train.
Dont train for at least 1 hour after you wake, freferably 2 as your spine is swollen and weak, its a great way to give yourself permanant back injury!
You should train no later than 3 hours before you would go to bed, as it takes 2 hours for your metabolism to begin to slow and 3 hrs for cortisol levels to drop off.
So the best times to go are around 10am and 5/6pm assuming your waking hours are from 7am till 11pm.

Ouch - so that means I'll need to get up at 5am for morning training
Never knew when you woke your spine was swollen / weak. May avoid leg day until the weekend from now on

If anything I find working in an office actually motivates me to workout. After being sat on my arse for 8 hours a day the last thing I wanna do is go home and sit on it even more watching TV!
I try to run every over morning then train 7-9 most nights. Plus if I've had a shit day at work theres nothing better than hitting pads to make you forget about it all!
