I know, it's Friday, and there wasn't a thread though. I assumed you'd stalked him down finally and murdered him?

Gerrard, johnson and agger all 'fit', torres is definitely out. We need 3 in the first half, it's the only way we are going to get aquilani match fit

Can we start including lower league fixtures in these threads, not everyone supports a Premier League team you know
Hartlepool at home for us. There mid table so will probably only manage 3 goals this week I would have thought.

Barrett reckons it's on the cards but benitez has said he won't. Would be ace to see him start rather than come on after 60/70 minutes but I doubt it.

We are still riddled with injuries on the left, no Benayoun, Riera or Aurelio (I think). So looks like it will be Insua with Babel in front of him. Kuyt on the right.
Ngog broke his nose playing for France U21 so not sure if he is fit? If so then guess it will be him up with Gerrard behind. If nott hen we could see Gerrard up with Aquilani behind and Lucas and Masch behind him.

I think rafa said ngog should be ok, and I fully expect him to start in torres position in our normal line up with gerrard behind him. I can't see benitez ditching the mascherano and lucas partnership in the middle after the performance against birmingham. I'm a little concerned about the left side defensively if babel starts, can't see him doing that good a job helping insua out with wright-phllips speed (with insua obviously still learning) but mascherano has been doing a good job of covering him so maybe we will be ok. I think bellamy is going to want to do well if he starts and santa cruz potentially might start and be eager. Big game this (aren't they all )

Nah, we'll be right up for it and with a fit Gerrard and Johnson, so expecting a result.

Turns out Riera and Benayoun are both fit, as is Aurelio
I really didnt think the first two would be given how much pain they were both in when they went off. They have both been (along with Johnson and Aurelio) to have that horse placenta treatment and are both fit

Have you heard all the hooha surrounding that woman who has given the placenta treatment she's gone underground as authorities in serbia (or wherever it is) says he's operating without a license etc. She's a proper witch
Edit to say i'm not assed if she's a witch if she's got our players back so quickly

I never knew that. Thought she was all legit as has been treating players in the mainland European leagues for years!

I think we should beat Cambridge. Although they will be right up for it after we scored 4 second half goals with 10 men to beat them 3-4 at their place
