just wondered wat peoples thoughts were on this, i av got the 306 dturbo, n reckon its faster, it is slightly tweeked tho.

mine is the old type dturbo [ not the HDI] it pisses all over HDI's, my mates is proper flat as a pancake, fitting eh!

1.4 16v Corsa would win 0-60.

My SXi used to keep up with the Diesel Turbo ones.

Mid range though, the 1.4 16v Corsa would'nt stand a chance.

at the top end the corsa is definitely faster, mine runs out at 110-115mph, but on acceleration, especially up hills mine is faster, my mate has the corsa and he thinks im not far wrong.

Ahhh, i stand corrected then.

Corsa would win over a Q-mile, as it would to 60mph, but im sure the pug would be better in the long run.

Corsa 1.4 16v does 112mph. U'd need to tuned it to get anything more out of it (bar going down a long hill )

1.4 16V corsa would be wuicker than the 306 from a standing start. 30-70 I don't know

glad sumone is slightly on my side, thought people would slag em all over, my little pug is special, turbo's r great on any car!!!!! [ mine has a dump valve, there tops]

30-70 i'd say the Pug would win. Will have MUCH more torque and the 1400 16v's have bugger all

i know it seems dodgy, but it sounds really good, it gets alot of attention, and is abit different from the rest. when the turbo kicks in the diesel clattery sound is drouded out, my exhaust is fairly loud, n it dunt sound like a bus.

had the dump valve fitted by motorsport developments in blackpool, it was fitted on the top of the engine which wasn't loud enough because of the diesel noise and the sound proofing, so i have relocated it behind the front bumper, behind the mesh bit, much louder.

about a 10psi I think but TD's give you a whack of boost then it tails off. you can see this from the torque curves of TD's

thas rite, turbo kicks in about 2000rpm on mine, there is a real kick to it then drops off about 4000rmp ish. problem is it limits at 4800rpm if your lucky

you can put the boost up allot higher on a 306 TD, they r v quick.
