what do you reckon a standard corsa redtop will do in 0-60 in .and a 180bhp will do 0-60 in just curious?both have all interior in

I personally don't think they'd get 6 dead.. they aren't THAT fast and traction wouldn't be any help

A 180bhp one might. But 6.5 standard seems reasonable considering CTR's are dispatched after 1st gear.

id say can get 6 dead. i had my std one timed at 6.3 to 60. they grip in 2nd gear not bad at all.

How can these corsa's do such quick 0-60 times?
I know nothing about redtops tbh so correct me where i am wrong.

Mk 2 Astra GTE C20XE 0-60 7.3 secs standard. Weight is at 1035kg.

Standard Corsa 1.6 Sport is 981kg.

^So thats a difference of 54kg, so if a corsa had a redtop in it, id say it would weigh abit more than normal, so call it even weight between the two.

So how can these Corsa's be doing 6secs odd, and an Astra 7.3?

lighter, less weight to move off the line, strip the seats etc and you'll go under 900kgs

dunno, why can i get 4.9 0-60 in a fwd car with a lot of power. its just a mystery.

when they go in a corsa they tend to be a bit more powerful due to having to change the exhaust and most loose the cat. Also corsa sports weigh 981kgs, lesser models like 1.2 base spec or whatever will be lighter due to less electrics and sound deadening. Id say half a sec quicker than the GTE is realistic.
