Only about 3 or 4 people know about this as I've been keeping very quiet - purely because up until this weekend just gone I wasn't able to drive it due to waiting for insurance to end on my C and transfer the NCB across etc etc. Needless to say, it's still not fooking cheap to insure

Anywho, hopefully this will be a surprise to some of you, and some of you may not care! But always wanted to get another B and XE it, and Phil's car has been a firm favourite of mine ever since I signed up all those years ago, so got the funds together and made things happen

No real plans for it tbh, carried out some very minor tweaks since I got it almost 2 months ago (yes it's been sat on my drive for that long not being able to drive it! ) and got a couple more lined up, but other than just plan to enjoy it, keep it clean ( ) and take it to as many shows as I can

Subtle changes so far:

Swap headunit for Alpine MP3 one which lights up orange (fussy about stuff like that now)

Remove all subs, amps and wiring

Richbrook gearknob, new leather gatiers for gearstick & handbrake

New plates (3/4 was too much hassle on my old C so cba with it. However, still gone for bike font to be slightly different )

Tigra scuttle panel (to be colour coded with arches)

Bosch flatblade wipers

and that's about it as said, got a couple more very subtle tweaks to make as and when funds allow too

Just a few poor pics from this afternoons pre winter clean up before the sun disappeared completely!:

Was gutted about missing the SE RR day - was 12 hours before my insurance started

Unfortunately won't be garaged as no room. Am on the lookout for a cheap garage to rent round my way partly for the car and partly for storage for the business. Having said that, now I've sold the C (to my parents ) the car is my daily driver unless I use the van. So despite keeping it clean, it will also be used.

Not the most mechanical minded person in the world, but have got mates who can help or if all else fails, a reasonable local garage

Car cover may be considered - not sure yet Don't trust them too much as one bit of grit underneath and it'll cause big damage!

Phil - thanks mate Certainly will be looking after it! Only driven 30 miles so far due to the shitey weather, but loving it. So nice to actually be able to drive it now seeing as I paid you then gave the keys to my mate to drive it home!!

Wheels are staying as cba to spend money on it. It's a toy but not one I plan to throw money at tbh. Quite like them on it anyway (will refurb them though) Plus it was one of the originals to have the wheels on, and everybody copied after that

A proper detail will be done next year before shows. Haven't the time atm, hence why I've spent a couple of hours on it today laying down some hard wearing protection for the winter and will now just wash it every so often to remove the crap off it. Will get some better pics of it at some point too

Yup. Was tempted, but didn't have the funds at the time, also wanted to leave them off to make it slightly different again so it's hopefully not always just known as "Phil's old car" although I'm sure it still will be lol.
