Have you had any experience with panel filters? I have a PD130 FR Ibiza and dont know wether to get a cone or panel filter?

I cant see heat soak being much of a problem as i have a SMIC but will eventually get a FMIC. But ive heard you can heard the DV and turbo spool up more.

Id go for a Jetex open cone filter with a forge tip..

The SMIC is a poor design and u will enventally suffer from heatsoak..

Its a phenolic Gasket..

it stops the Heat translating from the Ally cylinder Head to the inlet manifold so there for it heats up the AIT going in to the head...So more of a heat soak..

go for a drive in ur leon and then pop the bonnet then feel the inlet manifold and how hot it is Or even warm...With this fitted mine atm with the Dual OEM coolers Was Coldish after a seriouse thrash.

Now with the FMIC fitted the Inlet is bloody frezzing...For £60 there a must for keeping the heat away...

Ive desided im going to put some eibach 40mm Springs on to drop it that little bit and to keep the OEM Ride...

My plans Over the next 2 weeks are Darker (Antheriate,Volvo GreY) Colour wheels,Bright Yellow Brembo calipers front and Back...

Just need to find a place to Refurb My LCR Wheels for a nice price

only a quick shop but gives you the idea, darker wheels and 40mm drop would be good start, i think your just gonna want more and more once you start playing though, im the same! get some wind deflectors on order
