I've never owned a BF game before but this looks really good, the gameplay looks very intense. It looks so different in terms of gameplay to COD. It seems to be a lot more realistic for a start.
Think I'll take the plunge and buy it.

How do you mean, like the feel of them whilst firing? some of the weapons in the videos look like they have mega recoil, suppose that's more realistic though. I like how you can damage the enviroment, buildings etc.

its hard to describe... they were just crap.. its like there were no physics.. they'd concentrated on making all the buildings destructable instead

danny.. be warned.. the damage on the first was terrible.. was alot worse than cod on softcore!
other than that it was fine 
battlefield 2 was just as bad, and i would put money on that it will be the same.

If you want a realistic shooter, you should check out flashpoint. I thought that was quite realistic.

Multiplayer info:
Maxplayers for consoles: 24
Maxplayers for PC: 32
At least 8 multiplayer maps will be available. Gordon: “We want to try to put as many maps into the game till release date.”
There will be four multiplayer modes:
- Conquest (from Battlefield 1942).
- Two unrevealed squad-based modes for teams consisting of four soliders.
- Rush which is an advanced version of the mode Gold Rush from BC (part one). In this mode, one team has to destroy a pair of containers or boxes. The other team has to defend them. Each time one pair gets destroyed another part of the map opens up for the players and the action moves away. The defenders win as soon as the attackers have no more respawns
1 primary and 1 secondary weapon, 2 devices.
46 weapons with 200 variations
15 different devices
13 perks. For example: More ammo, ammo with more lethality, more health....etc.
Some perks can even improve vehicles like better shielding, additional weapons or better radar.
15, 000 possible combinations for player customization.
Players get experience points and can reach higher ranks, which bring new weapons and new new attachments (like scopes).
Highest level: 50
50 XP points for 1 frag
20 points for assists
40 “medals” for special achievements
228 “stars” for achievements in bronze, silver and gold
40 “special achievements”

The guns are all the same as the first game though, that's a bit of a cop out.
Graphics-wise it looks cracking like.

It's the overall gameplay that appeals to me, it looks like it feels asthough you're in the middle of a war rather than just running around firing randomly, I'm so bored of MW2 now, I need something new to play.

you only played mw2 for a little while, is IW.NET limiting your fun
BFBC I had on the ps3 and thought it was great so I think this one is a must have for me on pc (finally)

IW.NET isnt so bad but the gameplay is very repetitive, Bored of all the maps and now I'm at rank 70 there's nothing new to achieve really. I like the way BFBC2 looks in terms of the whole experience, it looks far more realistic than MW2.

I've spent the last hour or so watching PS3 BETA videos, really can't wait for the PC BETA early next year. I'm looking forward to a change from COD after all these years, I've not played MW2 in over a week now as I'm bored to death of it, so repetative. The Audio on BFBC2 sounds amazing aswell, I've been playing BF2142 for a few days and find that more fun then COD.
Another BETA video. The gameplay in this has replicated the war far better than any COD game (based on my experience of the real war which is very little, in games terms I mean...)
