without sounding gay what would stand up better in a crash?
also what common problems are there with the sports?
thing about vtrs is the driveshafts and those associated problems

corsa would, main problem with sports is rust just make sure you get the engine started from cold when your there to make sure it doesn't have any weird rattles ect and doesn't smoke once warm

Both would be shit in a crash, vtr probably worse. I had a 1.6 and a 1.4 sport and i only had a problem wth the idle control valve on the 1.4.

Probably a corsa but I wouldnt want to crash either as they are both two star ncap iirc

My gsi was reliable barring a few sensors and the head gasket going. But did burn oil so thats something to watch out for on the 1.6 engnies

Saxo has had a coolent temp sensor go and coilpack and I think a shaft is on the way out now.

From having both I would take a saxo purely on the better drive.

A 1.6 16V corsa would be on par with a saxo vtr for straight line speed??

I got a cheap saxo VTR as a runabout when my car was smashed into, my mate kicked it in the balls for the 10,000 miles he put on it and i've done the same for the last 3,000 and so far the only thing thats broke has been the exhaust bracket

I think they are cracking little engines, just seems to love abuse

a 1.6 sport with a flame inlet and 4-2-1 will keep with a vts.(the vts wasn't damged in anyway it was a mint car and the guy and his dad had owned it since new)

Although I'm sceptical of that... A VTS with a 4-2-1 and decat system will trounce a Sport.
