ive got a black sxi 1.4 as a hire car following my vts gettin written off, and i must say i like it!
are these becoming acceptable yet? the styling is really growing on me and its a very comfy ride!
by no means is it fast, but is reasonably quick and sounds pretty good when you give it some beans i may consider one as a sensible daily car for a couple of years

Id say so yeah, some of the styling packs you can get look really smart. Used to have the 1.2 SXi's as courtesy cars, they arent that bad. It went off the clock anyway

was thinking some kind of vxr/irmscher kit and vxr alloys, but maybe the big 18's/19's would slow it down too much. not sure how much it would be or a decent second hand one, not really looked much

I like them, was driving the 1.3cdti version again yesterday for quite a bit and it's still really good imo.

I dont like the driving position, they feel very cheap inside, the steering feels like it has a helper system or something where you touch it and its turns a bit for you, feels like your sitting on a stool, massive dash, stupid pillars obstuct view, sound shite, look shite, feel shite

IMO there utter shite

Moving cars around a car park does not give a good view of how they are overall, especially since you thought you managed to get 15mpg out a diesel astra.

You thought it was a diesel though, which instantly voids any opinion you have on cars.

Yip it was months ago tho, and the amount of fuel it used means it must have been a petrol

Also we had a few transporters of them that day so had been driving most of the different models

i didnt like the seating position until i realised the seat sinks down and back realy low, lots of adjustability in it and ive got it spot on now.
agree the pillars create a lot of blind spots!
