Watched Avatar in 3D last night and it was truly breath taking.
All the hype is certainly backed up with the best film ive ever seen.
The 3D is not a gimmick like all the other crap 3D films (my bloody valentine, final destination etc), instead its an amazing experience.
Need to find someone else to watch it again with now.
highly recommended

It's not as Epic as it's made out to be IMO.
Also watched it in 3D and it deffo made the film come to life.
It's worth a watch, but I left feeling slightly disappointed

It's a beautiful film. But it could've been so much better.
I'll let you figure out why though so as not to spoil it xx

as above, its not a cheesy 3D film where you get objects flying at you. its properly used to give you a perception of depth in the film.

first showing was fully booked up so had to wait 2 hours for the next one, lol. finally got to see it at the 9pm showing and wow, i loved it. the 3d needed getting use to, was a bit weird at first but so realistic. story line was great etc etc, i could go on and on but all i have to say is, this film in 3d gets a 10/10 from me

Seen this tonight.
Story dragged on far too much for my liking and it's a theme that's been done to the death.
By far the most visually stunning film I've ever seen though, people talked about 2012 CGI being good, which I disagreed with, this is something else though, 3D definitely added to it, first 3D film I've seen that's been made in 3D and not just to make some stuff come out the screen.
10/10 for cinematography, 5/10 for storyline.

Fucking amazing!!! You guys know how hard it is to please me, but I thought it was brilliant.
The effects, the battles, the 3d depth, the fact the hero is a cripple, the fact the navi get owned first etc is excellent

A mate has gone to see it today, he tried the other day and it was fully booked.
I'm planning on going in a week or two once the holidays are over and it's calmed down a bit, i'm even half tempted to go by myself as I finish work before school etc finishes, so might be a bit quieter.

Worst film I've ever seen, genuinely.
After the initial 'woooo look at that' you realise it is a shit storyline, shit acting, shit script and it drags on forever.

Thing is, it was a trodden path as a story and quite cheesy in places, but I was happy to endure it as it added to the experience / attachment to the characters and races.
When I watched the trailer I expected it to all be about saving the world and all creatures and expected to side with the humans wanting all navi to die. But because of the story it sucked me in to their world and wanting them to survive.
[spoiler]
This said the thing I was surprised with / loved about the story was the fact the humans actually kicked some arse!
Some films would of had the navi win before the tree got cut down. That wouldve pissed me off. Thing is the humans kicked some ass, fucked their poxy tree up! Then came to bomb the shit out of their spirit home (which Americans would do) but simply the Americans were out numbered! And wouldn't of expected to be fighting against their own weapons, so got ambushed!
In no way did I feel the humans didn't try hard to win... Some films aimed at kids label humans as bad guys and they make the humans useless.
I also wanted to see that bomb explode in 3d!!! I'd of been gutted if it hadn't! :d was so happy when it did! Boom!!!
[\spoiler]
so the story could've been a lot worse!

It wasn't a bad film or anything. Just wasn't good enough to go with the beautiful cinematography.

Thing is, it's obviously designed for mass appeal, movie for families, kids, old people etc to all enjoy. So the story couldn't be too original / complex.
It kinda reminded me of starship troopers, juarrasic park, matrix 3 and the film 'ants' rolled into one
